About the Role (your why)

As a Desktop Support Team Lead, you will be responsible leading a team of end user services engineers within the IT Outsourcing group to ensure best practice support methodology is practiced, technical experience leveraged and customer outcomes are delivered driving high levels of customer satisfaction. The Desktop Support Team Lead is expected to manage the day-to-day customer related operations of the Onsite End User Services Support group.

This role is based in Perth. Due to customer requirements we will require either Australian Citizenship to be eligible, no visa sponsorships for this position.

What you’ll do

At the moment, as Desktop Support Team Lead you will be focused on:

• Being the single point of contact for all EUS related issues and escalations for all stakeholders
• Ensure all escalations are addressed with effective communication back to the relevant stakeholder and associated parties
• emerging relevant technologies and the possible application of these technologies to the client base and Datacom.
• Assist in Problem Management when required delegating as appropriate.
• Support the Service Delivery community in Continual Service Improvement Initiatives
• Manage call management system queues to ensure tickets are assigned and
• Mentor and coach staff members on customer related issues Promote a positive culture within the team
• Ensure operational performance of the team delivers a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate a strong managerial and leadership style.
• Ensure staff are clear on expectations and performance requirements.
• Ensure the Operations Manager (EUS) is aware of noncompliance issues and performance anomalies.
• Ensure all staffs adherence to the breached call reporting policy
• Track and record expenses for EUS team staff members
• Ensure staff enter timesheets in line with Datacom process

What you’ll bring

Required experience:

• Hardware and peripherals i.e. laptops, notebooks, workstations desktop PC's, printers, media and audio-visual equipment BYOD and mobility
• Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, End-Point Imaging, and experience in SOE creation and maintenance
• Desktop and software applications i.e. Operating Systems (Windows 7 through 10 and), Microsoft Office 2007 through 365, Antivirus software and systems

Nice to have:

• You will bring excellent verbal and written communication and have the ability to articulate technical information to the target audience. Your professional customer service will be second to none, and you will have the ability to work autonomously with excellent time management

As a result of a significant project pipeline, AECOM's Western Australian Resource and Industry Business Line has an opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer, Materials Handling. to support the successful completion of projects across Western Australia, Australia and Globally.

Working as part of a dynamic, consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects within Mining and associated Industries, such as surface, underground mine operations and within Iron Ore, Alumina, Gold, Manganese Ore etc.

Our team of industry experts and network of technical specialists will support the development of your technical and project management capabilities, giving you the opportunity to support project delivery to a broad range of clients and industry sectors. Working across mining, minerals processing, chemicals and defence will give you a broad exposure and help build your career.  

What will a day in this role look like?

• Consulting with Tier 1 Mining clients with a particular focus on mining infrastructure, materials handling and surface non-process infrastructure for brownfield and greenfield assets (specifically crushing, screening, bulk materials handling, pumping & piping networks and water facilities)
• As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will provide study management and technical leadership across the team
• Act as focal point for the client and the AECOM Design Team 
• Use your experience as a Technical Specialist to deliver technical outcomes and leadership to the Project Team

As well as experience in a similar Lead Mechanical Engineer role. Specifically:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s in mechanical engineering.

• Registered Professional Engineer or equivalent with recognised professional body. Chartered status preferable.

• Solid technical background and practical application experience with a preference in bulk materials handling, machine design and resource sector related fields. Experience within the WA resources sector preferable. Sound knowledge and experience implementing relevant technical standards. Proficient with relevant mechanical design software.

• Experience working on projects from early feasibility and concept design phases through detailed design and construction and commissioning support.

• Sound business and commercial acumen. Understands goals and metrics that drive business, financial and project performance and manages scope and time of self and others to optimise team performance and efficiency.

• Willingness to apply technical skills to all facets of engineering consultancy which may include design, leadership, management, client relationship management and work winning.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey mechanical engineering outcomes with suitable language that can be understood by clients, stakeholders and other engineering disciplines.

• The ability to work alongside existing leaders and in multidisciplinary teams and to effectively collaborate with and drive the performance of those around you. A sound knowledge across a range of disciplines.

• A desire to continually grow your own career and technical development by staying abreast of industry best practice design methods, software, technologies and by adopting digital delivery, and innovation. A desire to share knowledge, contribute, grow and develop the capability and experience of the team.
