KCM Recruitment are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/ Welder for site-based positions across WA.
Duties:
• studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
• selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
• cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering aligning parts.
• aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
• examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
• finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
• cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
The successful candidate must have:
• Relevant Trade qualification in Metal fabrication.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the given field.
• Current Drivers license ( minimum C class).
• Valid White card.
• Current National police clearance, or willing to obtain.
• Must be willing to obtain and pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
• Experience working on fixed plant maintenance, fabrication and repairs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, punctual and motivated.
• Good attitude to work and able to work as a team player

Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
