As a mid-weight DevOps Engineer at Bilue, you’ll contribute to designing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure while learning and growing your expertise in automation and deployment. This role is key to supporting the scalability, performance, and security of our cloud-based solutions. Working closely with senior engineers and development teams, you’ll play a hands-on role in managing infrastructure and enabling efficient deployment processes. Key Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless deployment processes.
• Managing AWS infrastructure, including serverless services like Lambda and traditional services such as EC2 and RDS.
• Implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for scalable and repeatable management.
• Monitoring and optimising system performance, reliability, and security using AWS-native and third-party tools.
• Collaborating with development teams to streamline deployments and resolve infrastructure challenges.
• Championing DevOps best practices, including automation, monitoring, and incident management.
• Building and maintaining automated testing pipelines to validate infrastructure changes and deployment processes.

As a member of the global Network Operations team, you will manage, monitor, and control one or more networks, ensuring optimal network performance across diverse platforms, mediums, and communication channels. Your responsibilities will include managing network traffic and performing critical network operations to maintain seamless connectivity.

Responsibilities: In this Technical Assurance role, you will provide 12/7 follow-the-sun support, proactively maintaining network performance by monitoring and managing network elements. You’ll utilize network management and incident ticket systems to address service assurance incidents, ensuring service levels are consistently met. Key duties include responding to Quality of Service breaches through alarms or customer tickets, adjusting call routing to cost-effective alternatives, and collaborating with vendors and carriers to restore performance to benchmark standards.

This role also involves engaging and communicating effectively with Symbio’s Domestic, International, and Southeast Asia customers, as well as working closely with third-party suppliers and carriers.

Impact of this Role: As the key contact for incident and outage management, you will uphold the Symbio brand reputation by handling incidents from start to finish in line with ITIL best practices and service level agreements. Your work will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, acting as a single point of support to minimize service downtime.

Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will:

• Ensure all Operational activities that support maintenance are planned and executed such as shutting down operating units, hydrocarbon freeing, Lock Out Tag Out, control of safe work and starting up operating plant. As Production Specialist, you will be responsible for Operations input to development both plant upgrades and organisational changes, together with successful commissioning and implementation of these changes.
• Use your technical skills to troubleshoot operational problems, investigate process plant incidents, identify and develop opportunities to improve process plant and organisational effectiveness.

Safety Leadership:

• Actively encourage and promote a culture where HSSE is the number one priority for employees and contractors
• Ensure that operational and asset risks are appropriately assessed.
• Ensure critical safety processes and protocols are applied, including permitting, isolations, management of change, safety critical overrides etc. 
• Provide assurance associated with critical safety processes and procedures. 
• Ensure compliance with quality control standards and process safety regulations.

Operations:

• Create, maintain and ensure accessibility and training of unambiguous procedures for start-up, normal operation, abnormal situations and emergencies. 
• Create, maintain and ensure completion of operator checklists. 
• Review alarm rates regularly and identify bad actors that require remediation. Coordinate resolution with support from Process Engineers and Maintenance teams.
• Maintain oversight of process chemical stocks and consumption, ensuring availability when required.

Asset Management:

• Plan and execute all operational activities that support broader asset management strategies – i.e. maintenance, projects, and turnaround events.             
• This includes scope development, shutdown of operating units, hydrocarbon freeing, chemical cleaning and decontamination, isolations, control of safe work and commissioning and start up operating plant start-up and shutdowns, commissioning and / or preparing for maintenance and turnaround events.
• Maintain HSSE critical equipment list for area of responsibility.
• Ensure integrity operating windows are defined for all static and rotating equipment, with support from Integrity and Reliability teams.
• Prepare and assist with plant changes under management of change procedures, and/or project activity. 

Collaboration and Problem Solving:

• Coordinate and collaborate with teams across the refinery to address challenges and implement improvements, including operations, maintenance, engineering, technology, and supply chain teams. 
• Apply technical skills to troubleshoot operational problems and investigate process plant incidents.
• Identify and develop opportunities to improve process plant and resolve production issues. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve organisational effectiveness and enhance team engagement.
• Train and mentor production team members on best practices and new technologies.

This is a day-shift role, Monday to Friday.
