Join Our Team as a Software Support Engineer (SSE)

As a Software Support Engineer (SSE) on our growing team, you'll be at the forefront of assisting our customers with installing our software, deploying it to cloud-hosted environments, integrating it with their data sources, and upgrading to the latest versions. You'll work closely with customers, often via Zoom, to troubleshoot technical issues related to our software and their environments, including firewalls, third-party authentication, and general IT challenges. 

In this role, you'll be a valued member of our product development team, influencing the evolution of our products to enhance customer satisfaction and resolve common pain points.

• You have a bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.  

• You’re open to periodic travel to work with customers on-site or attend meetups for some face-to-face time with your colleagues. 

• Experience with Linux and Windows, and familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or Azure. 

• Experience with using tools like Task Manager, Process Explorer, Wireshark, and other Windows Sysinternal power tools.

As a Professional Highways / Civil Engineer in the Sydney Highways Team, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of transport infrastructure projects.

You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver technical solutions that meet client requirements and design standards.

Your role will involve co-ordinating the evolution of the design, preparing technical reports, and ensuring project deliverables are met within specified timeframes.

What Will a Day in This Role Look Like:

• Technical Design: Engage throughout all stages of the project, including optioneering, strategic planning, conceptual design, detailed design, and construction support. Undertake highways/civil design such as geometric layout, barriers, signage, and line markings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. . A basic understanding of other engineering disciplines such as pavement design, drainage systems, structures and utility coordination is also beneficial.
• Design Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure on time project execution. Coordinate design documentation and drawings with other engineering and drafting disciplines. Conduct quality reviews of design documentation and deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Site Visits: On occasion you may be asked to conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress, review technical issues, and ensure construction activities align with design specifications.

What is this role about?

As the Senior Threat Detection & Moniotring Engineer, you will ensure proactive identification, analysis, and mitigation of potential cyber threats, enhancing the security posture of Cuscal. The role plays a critical part in building and maintaining resilient threat detection and response processes that align with the Cuscal’s cybersecurity strategy, protecting sensitive data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. 

Here’s some more insight into what you’ll work on,

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of security monitoring, detection, and alerting systems. 
• Identify, prioritize, and investigate cybersecurity threats and incidents in real time, utilizing advanced security tools (Threat intelligence/hunting, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.). 
• Develop custom detection rules, use cases, and threat models based on current threat intelligence and organizational needs. 
• Oversee the full incident response lifecycle from detection through to post-incident analysis, ensuring incidents are handled in a timely and effective manner. 
• Coordinate and lead investigations, ensuring documentation and communication of findings are clear and actionable.

We are looking for a Splunk Monitoring Engineer, to join our Cloud, Data, and Infrastructure team!

What is this role about

The Splunk Engineer will, manage, maintain, support and enhance monitoring, automation, and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) platforms. Whilst also creating dashboards and enhancing alerting functionalities to enable the business to meet client needs.

As a member of our Cloud Data & Infrastructure team, you’ll be responsible for:

• Designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining monitoring and automation solutions using Splunk, BMC Helix, SCOM and other monitoring platforms.
• Managing, maintaining, supporting, and enhancing Cuscal instances of BMC’s Helix Services Platform including but not limited to the Discovery, full CMDB and AIOps components.
• Ensuring that the CMDB is continually updated, accurate, and accommodating business needs.
• Creating, maintaining, enhancing and following associated processes.
• Ensuring that others across the enterprise adhere to associated processes.
• Maintaining and enhancing monitoring and alerting standards and ensuring that Engineering and other relevant teams are aware of these and adhere to them.
• Automate monitoring and alerting of events.
• Liaising with clients and client-facing staff to ensure that monitoring and alerting requirements are met.
