The position of Clinical Specialist – Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) / Electrophysiology (EP) provides in person and remote clinical, technical & educational support to our clinical partners in accounts throughout Tasmania and, when required, across ANZ. This role involves our full portfolio of CRM products as well as our FARAPULSE™ Pulsed Field Ablation system. The successful candidate will represent Boston Scientific, demonstrating clinical expertise and rolling out education and training programs to support our customers as they implement Boston technologies in their clinical practice. Travel will be required as part of this role.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
CRM & EP
•Build strong internal and external customer relationships to understand their needs and to identify potential new business opportunities.
•Develop deep understanding of the individual workflows and policies of each hospital as well as maintaining a current understanding of any competitor activities.
•Respond to complex customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by collaborating on the development and implementation of creative and feasible optimal solutions with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical, research, marketing, technical support).
•Record customer information and activities in company’s customer relationship management system: use the system as an alignment tool with other commercial roles.
•Complete relevant administration including, but not limited to, reporting, stock validations, ongoing education & training and inventory management
•Attend and actively participate in meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to develop our business and promote Boston Scientific products and services.
•Adhere to rigorous Quality and Regulatory standards
•Be available to support the broader ANZ Rhythm Management business on an as-needs basis
•Participate and provide assistance in relevant tender processes.
•Complete market analysis and regular reporting as required.
•Maintain all company assets, including assigned inventory, in good order and in accordance with BSC audit and process requirements.
Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM)
•Successfully complete formal CRM training program, apply these skills in clinical practice and maintain a high level of technical and market knowledge on an ongoing basis.
•Provide superior clinical and technical support to our customers and patients, which involves direct patient, physician and clinician interactions including, but not limited to, device implantation, device programming and follow up, technical troubleshooting, staff and patient education, site management and coordination.
•Work with the broader Rhythm Management team to identify training, research and engagement opportunities for new and existing customers and to then assist with implementation of the devised solutions.
•Once certified (partial or full), provide after hours and on call support for the Tasmanian CRM business
Electrophysiology (EP)
•Successfully complete EP training programs
•Utilise your technical knowledge of the field of electrophysiology, biophysics of ablation technologies and electrical mapping principles to:
•Develop a deep technical understanding of, and provide the technical training of company products to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists and Nurses
•Attend EP procedures with customers (operating Boston Scientific products where appropriate) providing detailed training/advice to physicians and other key stakeholders on clinical attributes and techniques associated with Boston Scientific electrophysiology products
•Provide clinical support including trouble-shooting, and clinical guidance to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias
•Provide expert level clinical support for procedures utilising Boston Scientific single shot ablation technologies

•Successfully completes all relevant EP & CRM training.
•Develop in depth knowledge of EP & CRM procedure, products and treatment applications.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•Previous clinical case experience within cardiac rhythm management and/or electrophysiology is essential
•Strong technical and clinical skills
•Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships.
•Proven ability to absorb complex technical information and apply this knowledge in the field.
•Excellent written & verbal communication.
•Tertiary qualifications in preferred disciplines including biomedical engineering and science-related disciplines.
•Exposure and understanding of conventional EP. Ability to interpret EP signals. Exposure to 3D Mapping. Troubleshooting skills and experience
