About the role

We currently are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist responsible for supporting the planning, development and execution of procurement and contract management activities within Bega Group’s Supply Chain Logistics function. The role will include supporting strategic sustainable sourcing, procurement planning and risk mitigation, commercial and contractual management of suppliers, cost control / containment initiatives, and contractual governance, documentation and reporting in relation to agreements with relevant suppliers, 3PL & 4PL providers, distributors and franchisees.

Other responsibilities

• Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks

• Market engagement with potential and current suppliers, including documentation preparation and evaluation

• Negotiate contracts in collaboration with key technical and legal resources within the broader Bega team

• Gain exposure to cutting-edge procurement practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Help drive commercial value by ensuring supply continuity and a focus on continuous improvement.

About you

• Excellent negotiation skills, particularly in areas of pre-contract negotiations

• Solid experience with procurement planning, execution and contract management

• Ideally a background in FMCG, Logistics or similar but not essential

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills

Procurement Officer/Buyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Officer/Buyer to join us here at AGL, to be based at our Bayswater Power Station.

The primary function of the Procurement Officer AGL Macquarie is to source, negotiate and award purchase orders and undertake sourcing activities with the goal of awarding low-risk contracts in alignment with the P2P policies and procedures.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Responsible for ensuring goods are delivered in full on time to meet the demands of the business and support scheduled and break in maintenance plan, including expediting of materials.

• Cross over into the Procurement stream and undertake sourcing activities through Ariba and award of low-risk  Agreements or fixed term pricing.

• Negotiation of AGL Precedent Agreement terms and conditions and gaining legal sign off departures.

• Develop and uphold strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and department leads.

• Building and driving relationships with key vendors to improve pricing and quality of goods and services.

What new need from you:

• Demonstrated experience in supply chain roles

• Previous experience in SAP or ERP systems

• Ability to analyse and develop accurate conclusions to support purchasing activities

• Strong people management and persuasion skills to manage and influence sourcing strategies and outcomes

• Proven ability to set daily cadence and ability to work unsupervised

• Proficient in MS Office, predominately with Excel.

Procurement Business Partner - Gas Assets

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Business Partner to join us here at AGL, to be based at our Torrens Island Power Station, Adelaide.

As part of the Group Procurement team, but embedded within Gas Assets, you will be the critical link between a diversified business unit and sourcing & contract management activities. You’ll need exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, paired with strong disciplines spanning sourcing strategy development, market engagement and implementation through to contract management over the life-cycle.

This is an exciting time to be working in the energy industry in Australia and at AGL you will be at the centre of the transition to reliable renewables.

About you:

You will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including written and presentation skills and a demonstrated capacity to develop viable procurement and contract management strategies.

Knowledge of the business drivers and issues facing a large-scale Energy company, and the ability to assist in translating these into requirements for inclusion in portfolio activity.

Proven ability to work effectively in a complex, matrix management environment.

Display and demonstrate an inherent ability to use effective negotiating and influencing skills in a collaborative manner.

Work effectively in a team assisting Gas Assets and Procurement to meet AGL’s strategic objectives and deliverables in accordance with AGL policies and procedures.

What you'll bring to the role:

• 5+ years’ commercial experience in a dynamic strategic procurement and/or contract management environment

• Demonstrable self-starting capabilities to build engagement and visibility of requirements.

• Stakeholder Management: Navigate through competing priorities and drive collaboration among stakeholders to maximize business benefits.

• Expertise in strategic and operational sourcing disciplines, preferably with a background in maintenance, repair & operations (MRO).

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including highly developed written and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of the business drivers and issues facing a large-scale Energy company, and the ability to assist the business in translating these into requirements for sourcing.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a complex and regulated environment.

• Must display and demonstrate an inherent ability to use effective negotiating and influencing skills in a consultative and constructive manner.

• Work effectively in a team to complete tasks and achieve team KPI’s and timelines in accordance with AGL policies and procedures.

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departments and external agencies as related to the job role.

You will bring...

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Bioprocess, Plasma Fractionation or Pharmaceutical or related industries

• Experience with legal contracts, financial analysis, and a track record of delivering cost savings
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
