Procurement Officer/Buyer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Officer/Buyer to join us here at AGL, to be based at our Bayswater Power Station.
The primary function of the Procurement Officer AGL Macquarie is to source, negotiate and award purchase orders and undertake sourcing activities with the goal of awarding low-risk contracts in alignment with the P2P policies and procedures.
What you'll bring to the role:
Responsible for ensuring goods are delivered in full on time to meet the demands of the business and support scheduled and break in maintenance plan, including expediting of materials.
Cross over into the Procurement stream and undertake sourcing activities through Ariba and award of low-risk Agreements or fixed term pricing.
Negotiation of AGL Precedent Agreement terms and conditions and gaining legal sign off departures.
Develop and uphold strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and department leads.
Building and driving relationships with key vendors to improve pricing and quality of goods and services.
What new need from you:
Demonstrated experience in supply chain roles
Previous experience in SAP or ERP systems
Ability to analyse and develop accurate conclusions to support purchasing activities
Strong people management and persuasion skills to manage and influence sourcing strategies and outcomes
Proven ability to set daily cadence and ability to work unsupervised
Proficient in MS Office, predominately with Excel.
Good understanding of numeracy
Experience in shutdown &/or outage buying (desirable)
