This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Hurstville, where the successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated field service engineering team, maintaining radiotherapy equipment located at multiple sites across NSW.
The key responsibility in this role will be to support our qualified Engineers in providing breakdown, maintenance, and repair services for medical equipment in our GenesisCare clinics.
More specifically, you will:
Provide breakdown, maintenance and repair services for Linear Accelerators and associated equipment.
Perform routine troubleshooting and repairs on the designated modality with guidance from a qualified engineer - diagnose the problem while working within the escalation procedure.
Perform routine calibrations and preventative maintenance on your designated modality and secondary modality.
Assist with coordination & planned Maintenance schedules for the state
Analyse, interpret, and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Support Engineers to provide ongoing preventative maintenance and quality assurance testing
Submit timely and accurate service request database and records, expense reports, TLD badges and other administrative work as assigned in CMMS MEX such as Inventory management for parts & company equipment.
Work safely in confined areas, including high current/high voltage modulators (20- 50 kV, 1500A)
Work safely on a full range of products including medical devices producing high-energy ionizing radiation.
Who you are:
A degree in Engineering – Mechatronics, Mechanical, Biomedical, Electronics or Electrical
A passion and enthusiasm to learn
Ability to develop strong external relationships with various agencies & key stakeholders
Eligible for a state Radiation use licence.
Eligible for state/Australian restricted electrical license
Valid driver's licence for the state you are employed in
Demonstrated time management, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Previous experience on Elekta/Varian Linear Accelerators and Siemens / GE Computer Aided Tomography scanners preferred, but not essential.
Computer proficiency with regard to coding skills and mechanical aptitude will be an added advantage.
Other requirements for this role:
Be required to travel to local, regional, and national sites to perform necessary duties.
Provide after-hours and weekend support services when needed
Provide remote and on-site engineering support
Undertake ongoing training which may include national and/or international travel.
