We are seeking a professional and proactive Database Analyst to take the lead on managing and extracting data from our CRM database, analysing and interpreting that information to spot key trends and movements in the market. This is a great opportunity to start a successful property career with Colliers and get your foot in the door.

Reporting to the National Director and Director in Charge, you will play an integral role in our hugely successful Property Sales and Leasing team, based in our Mascot office, working with key stakeholders across Australia.

As a member of the team, some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Updating CRM database to ensure property information is accurate & up to date.
• Tracking and analysing transactions within the South Sydney property market
• Present analysis/updates to the team when required.
• Introduce innovative ways to communicate information and analysis.
• Provide content for submissions & client presentations on market conditions, trends & observations.
• Identify, implement and maintain system processes and create targeted mailing lists for marketing purposes.
• Assist with tracking and logging enquiries for the team as required

Monthly Reporting 

• Finance and accounting operations and reporting including:
  • Monthly revenue reporting and variance analysis to forecast
  • Monthly Management account reports and variance analysis to forecast
  • Business Development reporting
  • Other adhoc reporting required
• Ensure day to day finance and accounting operations for business are carried out efficiently and effectively
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the results and activities of the cost centres.  Plan to improve and maintain financial information to ensure the accounts are prepared on a consistent basis and in line with best practice.
• Submit reports on a monthly basis for inclusion in regional/ group reports, debtor days report and cash flow forecast.
• Provide quality review of reports before submitted to Group Finance.
• Communicate to the management team trading results, significant variances as necessary.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, and ensuring all intercompany accounts have been fully reconciled and underlying accounting records agree to reported information (to an audit standard).

Management Information 

• Review key management information to ensure accuracy and robustness of underlying information.
• Provide and develop best practice use of Microsoft D365 in the business including projects ledger, project profitability and timesheet compliance.

Quarterly/ Half Year and Year End Reporting

• Ensure that appropriate procedures and policies are in place for the calculation of work-in-progress where required for accurate reporting of results.

Budget and Forecast 

• Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Review budget and forecast information to ensure that all finance knowledge is incorporated, that it is appropriately prepared and to provide challenge to budget holders.  
• Review all budgets and forecasts for consistency of data, method of preparation and understanding of assumptions.  Manage rectification of all quality of preparation issues. 

Balance Sheet 

• Monthly reconciliations of sub-contractor accruals and contractor accruals

About the team

As a Senior Business Analyst you will work predominantly in the cards space to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate business/user requirements for processes, policies and information systems. You will also translate business needs/end-user requirements into functional specifications that describe what the system, process or product/service must do to fulfil the end-user/business requirements.

What you may be doing:

• Formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.

• Working with internal and external clients to assist with implementation of some or all aspects of the P1C software platform.

What you bring:

• Knowledge of financial services industry

• Good understanding of P1C/BASE Global/B2K or any relevant credit card processing technologies

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development

We are embarking on an HR system implementation across Nine. We are looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with our People & Culture team to deliver a series of initiatives that will be critical to set this program up for success. This is for a six month contract with the potential of extending the role to support the design, development and deployment of the system.

Day to day you will:

• Work with People & Culture, Payroll & the Business to cleanse our People data. This will involve agreeing principles, methodology and prioritisation framework to conduct the data cleanse and the coordination of a review and update of key data elements
• Agree standard definitions for common data elements, mapping data fields to our Finance system and designing a proces to maintain the people data fields that are updated.
• Work collaboratively with all Business units to understand and document their current state HR processes and be able to clearly capture varying requirements and needs across the BUs. This will include, for example: org management, onboarding, oddboarding, variations, leave management, compensation management and learning & development.
• Work with People & Culture to document and align Nine’s job architecture across the Business. This will involve defining and documenting a standard job classification framework including organising jobs into function and families.
• Identify opportunities for process standardisation across the Business.
• Work collaboratively with the People & Culture team to define the outcomes required and develop an approach to deliver against this within a defined timeframe.
• Engage with a broad variety of stakeholders at different levels, across various business units.
• Support the project team and business, building a trust relationship with ability to influence and challenge where required.
