WHAT YOU’LL DO

Great Attention to Detail: Conduct Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence for new corporate and consumer relationships

Strong Investigative Skills: Complete ongoing monitoring of customer relationships on the back of trigger events or through their regular review cycle. Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and evaluate whether they are unusual or suspicious

PEP & Sanctions Screening: Review PEP and Sanction screening referrals for clients and beneficiaries at registration and transactional level in line with Xe’s policy

Analytical & Trends: Analyse transaction data and fraud metrics to determine trends and indicators which may assist in detecting and preventing online fraud

Operational Compliance:

• Remain up to date on Xe’s core business activities and assist in the analysis of proposed business initiatives from a compliance operations perspective
• Provide day to day compliance operations assistance and support to wider teams within Xe
• Act as a contact and reference point for Compliance Operations Analysts e.g. handling escalated queries
• Conduct training for new starters and analysts on an ongoing basis
• Provide walkthroughs of systems to internal and external stakeholders

Quality Control: Conduct Quality Control checks on Compliance Operations Analysts to ensure Xe maintains consistency and accuracy whilst striving for continuous improvement of the compliance operations function

Situational Adaptability: Maintain high levels of performance at all times including situations with challenging timeframes and complex situations and scenarios

Team Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, collaborative team culture by maintaining open professional communications and being a team player

Process Improvement & Efficiencies: Strive towards continuous improvement of the compliance operations function

• Passionate about Compliance: At least 3 years’ experience gained working within a similar role within the FX/Payments industry or within a similar regulated organisation

Job snapshot:

As Junior Technical Support Advisor you will work closely with our app partners during their development phase with our API, guiding them through the most effective and efficient method based upon their individual product needs. In addition, you will be assisting our schools with any technical support challenges that arise in relation to the various apps that integrate via our platform as well as helping connect their integrations.

You will be working with a growing team of technical support and integrations specialists across a number of projects from individual schools through to state-wide education department rollouts.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work with our Sale and Account Management Team as a key point of technical contact for onboarding new and assisting existing app partners 
• Proactively and reactively engaging with schools to assist with and troubleshoot any issues with their integration or application connections, be that data, system or API related
• Work with our internal development teams to ensure the scoping and prioritisation of tickets meets customer expectations
• Decrease incoming volume by striving toward first contact resolution and proactively onboarding and advising schools and apps on best practice
• Be on the front foot with communication, to ensure all stakeholders are always kept up to date in line with our SLA’s
• Maintain high levels of professionalism, customer service, performance and attitude
• Maintain security and procedures set out by the company
• Engaging with the overall communications team to provide support and assist with advanced technical support issues
• Liaise with various team members to help coordinate the rollout of new school applications

What we’re hoping you’ll bring: 

• Experience in a technical support focused role via phone and email is a must
• Knowledge of Databases and SQL (desirable but not required)
• Familiarity with Zendesk/ticketing systems and Jira (desirable but not required)
• Previous experience supporting an API / SaaS company (desirable but not required)

Control Risks has an opportunity available for an experienced Security Operations Manager to work on-site with our client, a large Sydney-based institution, on an interim basis for 3 months beginning in January 2024. There is some potential for this role to extend further.

The Security Operations Manager will have a broad remit with responsbility for managing the day-to-day security operations, including incident response, crime prevention, operations centre management, risk assessments, operational plans for events, parking and traffic management, security advice and briefings, contractor management, safety and compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

The Security Operations Manager reports to the Senior Manager, Security Operations and has four direct reports.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

• Support the Senior Manager, Security Operations in managing the contracted guarding services
• Oversee the Security Operations Centre, Concierge and Security Office functions to ensure compliance with protocols and procedures and that supporting systems are functioning as required.
• Respond to security and emergency related incidents as required to coordinate and provide specialist security advice on response strategies.
• Develop regular exercises in conjunction with the Emergency Management Team.
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships with key stakeholders that security work with on an ongoing basis.
• Develop and delivery of security and safety briefings during orientation weeks and as required thereafter.
• Ensure incidents are thoroughly investigated and reports are distributed in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders.
• Undertake risk assessments, develop operational plans, and attend planning meetings to support events, VIP visits, and scheduled activities that may impact operations.

• Relevant tertiary qualification and substantial experience managing security operations, ideally in a large complex organisation or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
• Must hold a 1A/2A NSW Security Licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced (includes strong report writing, documentation skills and ability to present effectively to a range of stakeholders).
• Proven ability to work under pressure with a high level of organisational skills to manage changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Be available to commence employment in early January 2024 and commit through to March 2024.

About the Job

• Undertake the administration and co-ordination of employee lifecycle processes, including but not limited to, new hires, terminations, staff movements, position and structure.
