SIXT Australia is on the lookout for an Area Manager to join the team in the Moreton Bay Region.

The Area Manager is responsible for providing support in major areas of the business. Your responsibilities include: 

• Managing all staff to achieve maximum efficiency 
• Daily meetings with operational team to set daily focus 
• Ensuring the location is supported with rentable fleet and drive utilisation targets accordingly 
• Supporting staff by working on the front desk or any part of branch if required 
• Creating and maintain a positive working environment that promotes open communication and empowerment 
• Driving change and company initiatives 
• Ensuring all staff fully understand their role and how their performance is measured 
• Generating excitement and passion in customer service initiatives through open communication and sharing of best practice 
• Ensuring that employees are adhering to safe work practices and HSE compliance 
• Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are implemented 
• Making positive steps to understand the nature of the operations on their site and understand the potential hazards and risks associated with the business 

You will be responsible for acquiring additional revenue streams from the existing allocated Shift customer portfolio, as well as bringing on new customers within the ‘Direct’ customer channel who can benefit from the Shift platform. You will work closely with customers to determine and explore potential solutions through the customer’s business growth needs.

How you will make a difference:

• Actively own and manage the relationship for allocated Shift customers through strategic and effective account management practices, customer service, and general curious outreach
• Acquisition of new Shift customers within the Direct customer channel through warm, pre-qualified leads Work with customers to understand their business needs and strategies, and helping customers recognise how the Shift solutions can help accelerate their business 
• Selling of Shift Platform solutions to prospective clients using solid arguments backed by the Shift sales approach 
• Ongoing outreach to allocated customer portfolio to support increased platform utilisation, promotion and retention 
• Providing guidance to customers on service, platform, and general queries

About the role

We’re seeking an influential warehousing professional responsible for the outcomes of our 3PL provider at our Laverton National Distribution Centre to ensure warehouse meets specific goals. You will need to have a strategic mindset identifying value creation opportunities and support programs to achieve objectives, goals, strategies and measures. You will have oversight of NDC operation to ensure that the site is managed efficiently and effectively by the 3PL teams.

Other responsibilities

• Manage accountability of the 3PL provider on site to ensure operational outcomes are achieved

• Collaborate with the onsite team day-to-day to ensure operational and service objectives are met

• Identify and support delivery of network efficiencies through partnering with logistics team, network partners & suppliers to drive project objectives

• Delivery of key projects for transformation.

About you

• Strong focus on safety

• Solid experience as a leader for large warehouse or 3PL environments

• Knowledge of logistics networks, transport and warehouse

• Demonstrated relationship and contract management skills

• Project Management skills and the ability to deliver results through others

• Good technical skills with warehouse systems - TMS/LMS/WMS or SAP would be an advantage.
