Working with the Group Legal Counsel, the role is responsible for managing legal matters relating to Rest including providing legal advice to Rest Business units, Management, Board and Directors to ensure appropriate management of Rest’s legal rights and duties and legal compliance and managing Legal Counsel direct reports.

• Provide advice on regulatory legal matters and guidance to the business in relation to legislative, regulatory and licensing obligations
• Participate in the due diligence process as a legal stakeholder to provide review and legal advice on required documents and processes 
• Advise management on regulatory matters that affect business decisions and the execution of Rest’s strategic objectives, 
• Maintain a good working knowledge of regulatory matters and regulatory change relating to the Trustee and Fund.  
• Advise on proposed and actual regulatory changes to stakeholders to manage legal risks.  
• Advise on Rest’s governance framework including licences and the activities of representatives of the Trustee to properly discharge licence responsibilities. 
• Advise on Rest’s regulatory reporting frameworks 
• Manage legal aspects of regulatory investigations. 
• Assist with liaison with regulators including ASIC and APRA for all communications including meetings and correspondence, preparation of reports, schedules and presentations for APRA prudential reviews, where required. Participate in industry forums and groups to provide input and discussions on regulatory changes and communicate outcomes to relevant internal stakeholders as required. 
•  Support and advise management on regulatory matters that affect business decisions and the execution of Rest’s objectives
• Assist as required in the delivery of legal training to Rest Business Units. 
• Manage litigated matters and disputes where required, including liaison with Rest’s external legal panel and Senior Counsel in relation to litigated matters 
• Liaising with external legal providers, auditors, fund administration and regulators when required 
• Preparation and review of relevant Fund policies as required 

Our Joint Command Support Environment (JCSE) is a complex system of systems used to plan, monitor and conduct military campaigns, operations, joint exercises and other activities to meet Australia’s national objectives.

Our Canberra-based team ensures that critical information reaches the right people at the right time, directly impacting ground operations.

This project requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and, ideally, have a current NV-2 level security clearance.

We currently have three positions available. One vacancy is permanent, while the remaining will be offered on a 12-month maximum-term contract.

Working together with our Leidos Team and the customer, this position will

• Support the secure and effective delivery of ICT systems to the Department Of Defence.
• Be responsible for system security monitoring, accreditation lifecycle activities, security reporting, security verification and validation
• Ensure system compliance with Commonwealth security standards and privacy and secrecy requirements.
• Provide leadership in creating and maintaining a secure ICT environment across various locations.
• Lead identification, implementation and review of the full range of security measures to minimise risk to Australian Government assets.
• Provide security guidance to other teams within the organisation to maintain system integrity.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responding to customer enquiries on the phone or via email
• Scheduling of appointments with relevant medical specialist
• Maintaining busy mailboxes, including responding to queries in a timely manner, booking appointments and other services services
• Providing administrative and operational support to medical specialists
• Providing information and advice to customers, or potential customers
• Undertaking other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader or Operations Manager, including reception duties,  uploading dictation, invoicing and supporting the greater team in general

What you’ll be doing

• Drafting and negotiating data and technology related commercial agreements including:
• Data and/or software licensing, maintenance and support, consulting and/or professional services agreements
• Master services/Framework Agreements
• Partner agreements – contracts with resellers, referrers and other intermediaries
• Various other commercial agreements that may arise with clients (and occasionally suppliers or group companies)
• Assisting product and legal teams to prepare new contract templates for new products and propositions along with product special terms and conditions.  
• Working with legal teams to help make changes to standard terms and conditions.
• Ensuring that deals are consistent with Experian policies as set out in the Legal “play book” and any exceptions are escalated for approval at the appropriate level
• Working with legal department helping to reinforce policies and procedures
• Supporting and providing advice the practical implementation of contracts into contract automation/review systems/processes.
• Assist with strategic projects, M&A activities, joint ventures, marketing campaigns and new product launches.
• Support regulatory engagement and provide legal input into the risk assessment and compliance functions.
• Deliver relevant training to business units.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of well-prepared precedents and implement legal technology to manage and deliver efficient legal service.

Key responsibilities will include:

• proactively managing assigned customers;
• ensuring a superior level of customer service to facilitate client access to Medilaw's Independent Medical Exams and other Medilaw services according to the client's needs; 
• promptly answering the phone to all clients and managing appointments and appointment related inquiries in line with Medilaw procedures;
• delivering superior customer service & client liaison to our key stakeholders;
• actively promoting new products/services to assigned existing clients.
