Reporting to the Head of Legal - Operations & Procurement you will work closely with the Operations & Procurement teams on a range on matters including key strategic projects, drafting, and negotiating supply agreements and advising on legal and compliance matters relevant to TGE’s operations.
Key responsibilities include;
Partnering with the Operations and Procurement teams, communicating on legal matters and risks
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating procurement contracts, addressing legal terms and obligations
Providing legal support to key projects for the operations and procurement teams
Ensuring compliance to contract governance processes, and staying current with applicable laws to TGE’s operations
Assisting with delivering the compliance training for the Operations & Procurement teams.
Have a minimum of 5 years legal practise experience working with an inhouse team, or reputable mid to top tier law firm
Locally recognised tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.))
Experience in legal compliance, safety regulation and contract drafting and negotiation.
A solution focussed mindset, with excellent stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to deliver legal advice, supporting compliance and strategic objectives
Thrive in a changing environment that is rapidly growing
Have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Have exceptional technical legal knowledge and a strong attention to detail
