Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is evident throughout the property in Housekeeping (in rooms, public and common areas).
• Build a productive and professional relationship with Housekeepers staff members, Housekeepers clients and all contractor personal;

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Pontoon Caretakers are an integral part of the team primarily responsible for the servicing and maintenance of ancillary vessels, machinery and equipment on our Hardy Reef pontoons ensuring the best facilities for our day and overnight guests. A unique opportunity to live and work on the Great Barrier Reef where together with the hospitality team, you will share special places and create lasting memories.

This will be a full time position on a lifestyle roster, 7 days on/ 7 days off, at our Reefworld Pontoon located on the Outer Great Barrier Reef departing from Airlie Beach, QLD. Shared accommodation and meals provided whilst on-duty at the Reefworld Pontoon.

Your days might include:

• Ensuring exceptional presentation of the Pontoons and Auxiliary vessels;
• Vessel handling and compliance with Safety Management Systems;
• Maintenance and operation of pontoon generators and engines;
• General pontoon operational tasks;
• Undertaking crew training including in-water training and vessel inductions;
• Ensuring maintenance is undertaken on board and defects are recorded;
• Conducting rescue and lookout duties for guests;
• Customer service and product delivery working closely with the hospitality team.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful you will be a team player with a demonstrated positive “can-do” attitude, be comfortable living and working on water for extended periods of time (7/7 day full time roster). You will have previous deckhand experience, a general aptitude for maintenance and engineering, and ability to deliver professional customer service. You will have think on your feet and be a natural creative problem solver.

• Hold a minimum AMSA accredited Coxswains (Open); or Master <24 and a MED 2/3 ticket advantageous;
• Possess a Maritime Radio Operator's Licence;
• HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid and HLTAID015 - CPR & Apply Oxygen;
• Responsible Service of Alcohol and Blue Card (Working with Children's Check);
• Ability to manage time and have strong organisational skills;
• National Police Check
• Flexibility to work a remote 7/7 roster over weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking 2 x Pontoon (Trade) Engineers to join the team on a Permanent Full Time basis.

The responsibility of the Pontoon (Trade) Engineers is to supervise the maintenance and operation of the Reefworld and Heart Pontoons in a safe and efficient manner, while also conforming to the requirements set forth by GRMPA, AMSA, SMA, and Journey Beyond. The Pontoon Engineer must prioritize a strong dedication to safety and quality, guaranteeing the efficient and effective communication of vessel machinery and operations.

Your Typical day would include :

• Adherence to high levels of marine safety and pontoon maintenance compliance, ensuring all training and certificates are up to date.;
• Compliance with Safety Management Systems;
• Maintenance and operation of pontoon generators and engines and other maintenance issues on the Pontoons;
• General pontoon operational tasks;
• Ensuring maintenance is undertaken on board and defects are recorded correctly;
• Customer service and product delivery working closely with the hospitality team
• Interactive use of HELM (Asset Management System) and timely upkeep of maintenance requests
