We currently have the opportunity for a motivated GPH/Deckhand to join our team here at Journey Beyond Cruise Sydney. This is a full-time position with an immediate start. You must have a GPH certificate of competence 1 in Marine Operations, or higher. In this role, you are primarily responsible for looking after the vessel, plus the safety and comfort of all guests on board while delivering high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a positive "can-do" attitude, strong on-vessel experience, and a team player with excellent communication skills. As a Deckhand and member of the Marine Operations crew, your daily duties include but are not limited to;

• Provide high-quality customer service and experiences to guests on-board
• All deck-hand shipboard duties like handling mooring lines, anchor, gangway. and assist in watch-keeping

• Assist guests with moving around vessel ensuring they are safe

The Role

As a Sales & Retention Specialist with Lyka, you'll attend pop-up sales events across Sydney (eg at markets and shopping centres) and promote the benefits of Lyka, with the goal of achieving new subscriptions. On days when you're not face to face selling, you will support retention of existing customers through email and phone channels.
