Purpose of your role

As part of the Technology management team, this role will provide overall leadership and direction for OFX’s Capability Platforms, including the software engineering discipline to ensure core business goals are supported and successfully executed on.

Your primary responsibility will be building a practice of highly skilled and motivated software engineers and engineering managers, that are assigned to work in highly autonomous, cross-functional and empowered delivery teams. You will contribute to the OFX business objectives by coaching your direct reports to work as high performing teams, developing the culture and practices that ensure that every individual understands and is contributing to the overall Technology strategy.

You will collaborate with the Technology management team, including Engineering Directors, Head of Portfolio & Release Planning, Information Systems, and Security, to deliver impactful outcomes for OFX. You will also work with the Product division, and business stakeholders to ensure your portfolio delivers business value and aligns with the Technology strategy, security and compliance requirements, and budget.

Working with the Technology Management team, you will agree on cross-practice strategies for talent & resource management, engagement & delivery, vendor and technology standards, enterprise architecture, risk management and engineering tooling and culture. Outside of these common standards, the Engineer Director is responsible for the frameworks, methodologies, resource development, technology solutions and the operating model within the Product Platforms practice.

In addition to your background in software engineering and people management, you need soft skills in relationship building, team leadership, motivation, communication, and stakeholder management. You will ensure teams understand the vision, establish processes, facilitate collaboration, and make critical (sometimes tough) decisions to achieve delivery outcomes in an inclusive and overall enjoyable environment. 

What you do

• Set a Technical vision and define the strategy for the Capability Platforms domain including Payments, Treasury, FX, Pricing, Data, Cloud and Engineering platforms
• Ensure engineering and other practices and processes are defined, communicated, evolved and adhered to within your practice
• Lead architectural direction and decision making within your practice
• Effectively manage Tech Debt and software costs within your practice
• Management of Technology vendors, including financial budget, within your practice
• Set effective metrics and delivery methodologies in Delivery teams to ensure success
• Delegation and training of individuals within your team to ensure empowerment, autonomy and professional development while ensuring overall delivery objectives are achieved
• Management and mitigation of technology risks using proper governance
• Manage technology costs effectively including resourcing, vendors and infrastructure (where possible)
• Work with Product leads to identify metrics for products are identified a part of the delivery process and measured post release
• Ensure all product platforms are secure, reliable and built to scale
• Professional development of direct reports, identifying and nurturing high performing resources while effectively managing underperforming resources
• Ensure all direct reports have clear and measurable objectives which adhere to the divisions approach and relate to team, product and organisational metrics
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, both Technology and other business divisions including effective ongoing communication approaches
• Work with the CTO, People and Culture and your peers in Product and Technology to evangelise OFX and Technology across the industry for the development of future OFX talent acquisition

The Gig

The Healthengine patient experience continues to be a  priority for the Healthengine brand and business. With millions of active users and  bookings across a range of primary healthcare offerings we are looking for someone to lead the charge in improving and maximising the patient experience beyond the booking.

The purpose of the role is to support the overall marketing strategy through excellence in lifecycle marketing. Ensuring we focus on retaining and maximising our owned audiences is a critical lever for Healthengine as we continue our growth journey. This role will uplift  patient comms and lifecycle ensuring we are maximising the tools, audiences and opportunities we have in this space 

Responsibilities:

• Lead Healthengine’s patient lifecycle / CRM strategy and execution, delivering strategically-aligned results
• Identify, plan and manage customer journeys across a range of Healthengine use cases and across a variety of channels such as Email, SMS, In-App Messages and push.
• Continually seek to innovate and optimise our customer lifecycle and cross sell efforts using data, insights and product releases to support delivery
• Create go to market plans from a customer communications perspective for new product releases and campaigns
• Measure and report on key results and identify opportunities to improve our customer experience and impact
• Use of third-party tools like Adobe Analytics and Braze to review insights, create user segmentation and execute campaigns across channels
• Optimise onboarding comms across App and Web Acquisition to improve the customer experience 
• Create and implement a QA processes to ensure accuracy of customer communications
• Work closely with Legal, Product and Marketing teams to ensure perfect consent management, privacy change implementations and regulatory compliance in the CRM space.

Experience you’ll bring:

• +6 years experience in a lifecycle / CRM role with hands-on execution 
• Strong technical marketing skills across CRM / Lifecycle  & marketing automation in tools like Braze, Hubspot or Adobe tools
• Deep understanding of analytics and reporting to ensure effective measurement and attribution of success and learning
• Worked with marketing/ product teams/designers/engineers and understand how to leverage both product and marketing to drive outcomes
• Understand and apply the principles of UI/UX and customer journey mapping
• Ability to create and deliver end to end lifecycle strategies in a fast moving growth business
