Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst (Finance) and initially working on a project, this position will be a 12mth contract with a view to convert to a permanent position.

You will be responsible for reviewing, analysing, and understanding financial business processes, translating financial business needs, and identifying areas for improvement in addition to analysing invoices and reports to provide supporting information to government grant applications in the initial 4mths (approx.) and responding to related enquiries.

Your previous experience and ability to develop financial modelling and projection, analyse data from multiple reports/sources and systems and respond to adhoc business requests will assist your success.

The ideal applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively, in addition to;

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or equivalent
• Min 2 years exp in a Financial - BA, Analyst, Mgmt. Accountant, or equivalent position

The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel business in our Marsden Park team as a Business Development Manager. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. 

In this customer-facing opportunity, you will grow and build strong partnering relationships with our customers, now and for the future. While developing sales strategies, you will ensure profitable growth of revenue, margin and market share for our Orrcon business.

What Will You Do?

Based in Marsden Park and covering the Sydney Metro region, you will: 

• work closely with the sales team to grow revenue, margin and market share
• identify new customers through building sustainable relationships with key stakeholders - including industry bodies and specialists  
• research and investigate key industry projects for future business growth opportunities 
• create and execute account plans in alignment with our sales channel strategy

More About You

Along with your ability to understand and uncover customer needs and transforming these into improved product and service offerings, you will bring:  

• experience in the development and execution of end-to-end targeted sales and growth strategies for targeted markets within the steel industry
• business 2 business technical sales experience 
• effective relationship management and influencing capability  
• commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing and margin and its impact on profitability
