Business Analyst – Finance (12mth Contract with view to permanent)

New Year, New Career or perhaps industry!? Catholic Healthcare is a leading Aged Care provider experiencing substantial growth. We have a new opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst within our Finance Department.
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst (Finance) and initially working on a project, this position will be a 12mth contract with a view to convert to a permanent position.
You will be responsible for reviewing, analysing, and understanding financial business processes, translating financial business needs, and identifying areas for improvement in addition to analysing invoices and reports to provide supporting information to government grant applications in the initial 4mths (approx.) and responding to related enquiries.
Your previous experience and ability to develop financial modelling and projection, analyse data from multiple reports/sources and systems and respond to adhoc business requests will assist your success.
The ideal applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively, in addition to;
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or equivalent
- Min 2 years exp in a Financial - BA, Analyst, Mgmt. Accountant, or equivalent position
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, analysing, translating and documenting financial requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a curious mindset
- Knowledge of financial modelling and analysis techniques
- Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools
- Domain knowledge in the relevant industry (e.g., Aged Care Finance) advantage
- Proficiency in using business analysis tools and software e.g. Power BI, Advance Excel
- Must be able to provide evidence or Covid19 Immunisations
