ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Carry out inspections, servicing and repairs of equipment with a focus on elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines, etc
When attending to customer’s sites make every effort to repair machines on site limiting the need to transport the machines off site
Be available to travel including overnight accommodation when requested
Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by JLG policy, ANZ Standards and customer and/or site requirements in a timely manner
Responsible for notifying the Field Service Coordinator if repairs or services can’t be completed during visit and the reason why, where required providing information for the ability to provide the customer a quote
Providing a superior level of customer service
Liaising with technical support including the interpretation of manuals where required
Conduct van audits and stock takes
General administrative duties relevant to the role including entering accurate job notes
Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the team
Maintain personal retail labour utilization rates as per target
As a Field Service Technician you are also required to carry out general duties from time to time as requested by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in a similar role – experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical advantageous
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
Ability to establish rapport with internal and external customers
Drivers licence
Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machine manuals and street signs and understand basic numeracy such as time, parts numbers and quantities
Ability to travel 25%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical or related field
Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications that allow for transferrable skills to adequately use our Baseplan system and email

At minimum, the candidate will require a tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science from a recognised institution and at least 5 years of experience in the areas of intensive animal feed additives, biologicals, nutrition, and health. The candidate is also required to demonstrate expertise with the formulation of intensive animal feed rations using feed formulation software. This knowledge is to extend in the understanding of the financial business of preparing feed rations for intensive animals. The candidate is also expected to enhance their knowledge base through involvement with technical workshops, collaboration with colleagues and attendance at international conferences. Concurrently, with this foundation work, the candidate will also join the Scolexia R & D section in studies involving feed additives, novel biological products, and product development. The specific nature of this position and requisite qualifications means that consideration will only be given to those that meet the outlined criteria. International applicants need to have their qualifications recognised in Australia and have capabilities in both spoken and written English. The target is to ensure excellent service standards and maintain high customer satisfaction by responding to Local & Export customers' enquiries and be a conduit for technical assistance within one to two business days. JOB RESULT AREAS: 1. Ensure ALL Export Orders collated and sent to the WH for packing within 12/24hrs or receipt 2. Create and administer ALL Export Documentation (Express - AIR/OCEAN) (SLI's for WH, Logistics, Trade Compliance) 3. Demonstrate urgency by answering Local & Export customer inquiries in an efficient and productive manner to ensure responses within 1 to 2 business days. 4.
