What will a day in this role look like:

• Collaborate with a team of multi-disciplinary engineers providing high-quality technical design services and advice and project leadership on projects.
• As an experienced professional, you will contribute to the management and delivery of moderate to large scale projects and you will be influential in the preparation of associated presentations to win work.
• Assist with the proposal writing, business development and overall growth of the team by identifying opportunities for improvement and key clients.
• Mentor our junior staff to develop our future engineers and collaborate further with our experienced fire protection engineers both locally and nationally.

This role is key to ensure project delivery excellence in design leadership. The key responsibilities of this position include:

• Participate in the management of the design team and the timely delivery of project documentation and attend and participate in design and coordination meetings for both Consultants and Subcontractors.
• Review project designs for regulatory and building compliance.
• Review the design for constructability in collaboration with the construction team and trade subcontractors to drive efficiencies during delivery.
• Review trade package documentation for compliance with Head Contract before tenders are called and progressively monitor the production of workshop drawings and coordination with works to be constructed.

As a Lead Health and Safety Advisor based at SGS Head Office near Perth Airport your responsibilities will include, however not limited to:

• Provide expert H&S guidance and support, engage, influence and mentoring the team to encourage ongoing development and enhancement of the safety culture.
•  Ensure effective safety and health risk management strategies, practices and services are implemented and that associated support services are effectively developed and integrated across the business.
• Maintain a suitable process for recording and reporting relevant data, assisting with analysis and compiling reports for the Business Manager and Site Operational Managers.
• Establishing process to ensure all managers, supervisors and staff are aware of their obligations and requirements under applicable OSH/WHS legislation.

• Lead and manage consultants to deliver high quality design documentation on time, on budget as well as in compliance with the project brief.
• Lead the review of the project design for regulatory and building compliance.
• Review the design for constructability in collaboration with the construction team and trade subcontractors to drive efficiencies during delivery.
• Actively participate in the methodology development for the delivery of the project.
• Maintain design quality control management.

The purpose of these roles is to provide after-hours support for the National Linehaul operations and execute the strategy for Lineage Logistics Australia delivering the business’ requirements in terms of product, delivery and service whilst managing to commercial targets.

This is achieved through fostering a flexible work team approach which focuses on efficiency, waste reduction, quality, compliance, safety, continuous improvement whilst meeting and exceeding business expectations.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing Road Linehaul schedules and freight routing

• Proactively identifying Linehaul performance gaps and initiating corrective actions and processes

• Supporting the incident reporting process

• Administering & controlling the non-conformance management system

• Assisting management of road & rail Linehaul suppliers including development of Approved supplier.

• Linehaul cost expenditure analysis & reporting

• Ensuring responsibilities are met as set out in the framework documents for OH&S, Environment, Quality and Safety

• Ensuring compliance with statutory OH&S Legislation.

• Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods Legislation.
   

Skills and experience/qualifications will ideally include:

• Experience in a similar role (preferred coming from High Volume Linehaul Operations)

• Refrigerated Transport experience is desired but not essential, including operations/servicing the Food Manufacturers (FMCG)

• Qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics or management
