BESIX Watpac have delivered a strong portfolio of diverse projects over our 40-year history, and due to a strong pipeline of projects in Queensland, we are seeking a Design Coordinator to join our team for the delivery of a correctional centre in Woodford.
This role is key to ensure project delivery excellence in design leadership. The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Participate in the management of the design team and the timely delivery of project documentation and attend and participate in design and coordination meetings for both Consultants and Subcontractors.
- Review project designs for regulatory and building compliance.
- Review the design for constructability in collaboration with the construction team and trade subcontractors to drive efficiencies during delivery.
- Review trade package documentation for compliance with Head Contract before tenders are called and progressively monitor the production of workshop drawings and coordination with works to be constructed.
