About the Role:
As the S&OP Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and governing group-wide demand and supply planning and forecasting models. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Operations Planning, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of key objectives and uphold a high standard of service to the sales, operations, and finance teams.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in supply chain or analytics to broaden their expertise in demand and supply planning, while driving process improvements and facilitating commercial trade-off decisions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Understand, maintain, and optimize planning models, updating calculations and creating/maintaining dashboards as needed.
• Manage stakeholders and facilitate the S&OP process across multiple teams, ensuring adherence to the timetable.
• Proactively identify and escalate risks related to planning applications.
• Follow best practice target state processes for sales and operations planning, analyzing variances to actuals.
• Facilitate the smooth transition and embedding of new models, including post-care activities such as training and user adoption.
• Create and maintain model user guides, documentation of procedural and system changes, and conduct training sessions.
• Collaborate with various business teams to establish business needs and define new data collection and analysis processes.
• Manage the delivery of a robust and transparent sales demand and operations capacity plan.
• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement agenda by identifying and leading opportunities to enhance process efficiency.
• Accountable for maintaining relevant system data to required standards, including data validity and master data.
• Maintain system parameters, configuration, and documentation.
• Review capacity limits with Operations regularly to ensure accuracy of system outputs.
• Analyze data uploads and identify issues or outliers requiring attention.
• Provide technical and educational support to planning platform users.
• Comply with security and risk protocols as directed by TGE IT policy and procedures.

About You:

• Understanding of modern planning tools like Anaplan, Kinaxis, or Adaptive Planning (preferable).

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications preferably in information systems or numerical discipline.
• Experience with process modeling and analysis tools.
• Proven experience in process analysis and optimization.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in S&OP activities and BI applications.

This role delivers across the breadth of organisational development and employee experience, enabling the delivery of our business and people strategy. This is an exciting role which finds the balance between delivering organisational development needs of the business we have today and supporting key projects which will set our future business up for success. You will lead our day-to-day organisational development portfolio, whilst working closely with our Organisational Development Manager on projects such as building our Viva Energy Retail EVP and refreshing policy relevant to our retail business.   

Your will have the opportunity to:  

• Progress our D&I agenda, enabling delivery of our VER D&I action plans and project managing WGEA Employer of Choice Citation requirements. Recommending policy enhancements or implementing new policy as required.  

• Lead Viva Energy Retails engagement initiatives, including collaborating with our Group Employee Experience team for the annual ‘Your Voice’ survey and owning VER pulse surveys. You will dive deep on the results from surveys, reviewing feedback and proposing focus areas and initiatives to maintain or improve our employee engagement.   

• Lead ‘Careers in Viva Energy Retail’, including supporting cross business talent movement.  

• Support our annual talent and succession practices.  

• Provide VER input to external reporting such as our sustainability or annual reports.  

• Work on project such as:  

• Acting as a subject matter expert for our Strategic HRIS project, providing input and expertise into the Performance and Talent modules.  

• Tailoring our Employee Value Proposition to VER and providing thought leadership on components of our EVP which will attract and retain our talent.

Overall Purpose of the Job

To manage and plan the pickup/delivery resources of the TGE Palletised Express Branch located at Altona North. The role will be responsible for supporting the Fleet Supervisors / Fleet Manager to ensure the safety, operational and financial performance of the transport operation. The overall performance will be dependent on the Fleet Controller maintaining systems and standards to ensure compliance with the TGE way.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate driver workforce planning and execute the day-to-day pickup/delivery tasks and maintaining customer expected DIFOT

• Support the operation on a day-to-day basis by making operational decisions based on the overall business objectives and coordinating available resources to ensure cost effectiveness

• Learn other functions of the fleet office to support the TGE Palletised Express Fleet team when others are absent

• Ensure all staff on site are appropriately inducted and trained by coordinating with the onsite compliance coordinator to ensure all staff have been trained appropriately before commencing duties

• Co-ordinate with other fleet controllers, general pickups and delivery requirements on an ADHOC basis with OSH partners

• Ensure that all administration systems, procedures and policies are understood and followed so as to ensure integrity of the financial reporting system and protection of the Company’s legal/financial and statutory position.

• Be responsible for providing daily reporting to TGE Intermodal customer base regarding delivery/pickup performance

• Maintain a basic understanding and working knowledge of all legislative compliance requirements (inclusive of environmental) that impact the business (training will provided where required)

• Ensure that site WHS is adhered to by conducting regular safety conversations, toolbox meeting, identifying and escalating hazards

• Ensuring appropriate use of driver TDA units to accurately track driver fatigue and movements

• Incident Management System – ensure preliminary incident reporting is entered in TRAC within a 24 hour period and escalated appropriately

• Work closely with the Fleet Supervisors / Manager to ensure service issues are rectified in a timely manner and provide support to the customer where required to ensure strong execution of service.
