As part of our Service Attendant remote site teams, you will contribute to the day-to-day operations of a mine site by providing excellent customer service to improve the quality of life of guests at their home away from home.

Who are we looking for?  

The is a full-time role based at ERA Village in Jabiru NT consists of 14 days on, 7 days off, 9.5 hours accommodation and meals provided whilst on site, all candidates must either live local or you can BIBO from Darwin.

You will be working in our housekeeping/domestic cleaning team however you may be asked to work in other areas including but not limited to mine site cleaning, kitchen hand, and dining room attendants. Your duties will involve detailed cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of rooms, ensuites, kitchens and toilet blocks. You will conduct all duties using appropriate cleaning methods, following cleaning policies and procedures and be able to complete them with in allocated timeframes. Previous experience in remote site work is not essential, if you have a passion for customer service and a great attitude, we would love to hear from you!

To be successful, you’ll need:   

·         Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check  

·         Flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts and rosters.

·         Previous experience in the hospitality or industrial cleaning industry in one of the above-mentioned areas preferable in a remote environment, resort or mining camp

·         Strong safety awareness and exposure/understanding of handling and storing chemicals

·         A great attitude – enjoy going to work each swing!

·         A strong commitment to high standards of customer service and integrity

·         Current Driver's Licences is essential

•Responsible for individual and group reservations

• This also includes the management of group blocks relating to inventory, payment and group setup

• Handle enquiries for individual and group bookings via email or phone during the shift, communicate immediately, and provide a reply or confirmation within a reasonable timeframe. • Handle any other department issues related to individual reservations (follow up on prepayment, routing, vouchers…)

• Preparation of group information sheets (group movements) and briefing of all involved prior to arrival of group.

• Manage payments, cancellations, rooming lists and terms and conditions. • Maintains a precise filing system for all Group reservations and correspondence.

• Handle guest complaints and enquiries in an efficient and professional manner

• Ensure a clear line of communication with other departments for special requests or other reservation-related matters.

• Ensure Accor brand and company standards are implemented and updated. • Ensure security and safety procedures are updated and implemented.

• Promote positive working environment by developing positive team spirit. Customer Relations

• Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests, making all guests experience positive.

• Take a positive problem solving approach with guest problems and concerns, call the Manager on Duty if difficulties arise.

• Actively sell and promote, hotel facilities and services

• Manage the restaurant, bar, room service & conference rooms, to ensure quality and efficient service and standards whilst delivering a memorable guest experience.
• Review, analyse and drive revenue the daily operational needs maintaining beverage, labour, product and expenses on budget.
• Develop, implement and maintain quality standards for all food and beverage outlets including the supervision and direction of the food and beverage team.
• Ensure cleaning and maintenance of outlets, work areas, tableware, utensils and other materials and equipment used by restaurant, bar, room service and conference areas.
• Work closely with Executive Chef to ensure Food and Beverage service is an exceptional guest experience.
• Recruit, manage, train, develop and inspire the Food and Beverage team.
