We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager / Works Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and manage the production team to meet our growing demand and maintain the highest standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Production Planning:
Develop, implement, and monitor production strategies, policies, and plans to ensure the achievement of production goals, including output quality, quantity, cost, and labor requirements.
• Production Scheduling & Resource Allocation:
Plan and coordinate the daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and available resources. Manage labor, equipment, and materials to meet production targets within the prescribed timeframes.
• Operational Control:
Oversee the operation of the production plant, ensuring efficient production processes. Develop and implement maintenance schedules, designate operating hours, and manage the supply of parts and tools to ensure smooth operations.
• Cost Management & Process Optimization:
Monitor production output, costs, and resource usage, and implement adjustments to processes, equipment, and workforce allocation to minimize costs while maximizing quality and efficiency.
• Communication & Reporting:
Keep senior management informed about production matters, including issues relating to quality, costs, and output. Prepare and present production reports and records on a regular basis to assist in decision-making and performance evaluation.
• New Equipment & Technology Integration:
Oversee the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of new plant and equipment, ensuring it aligns with production needs and industry standards. Lead research into new production methods and technologies, recommending and implementing innovations to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Quality Control & Continuous Improvement:
Direct quality control procedures to ensure all products meet industry standards (ADR, FUPS). Recommend and implement initiatives to improve production methods and maintain the high-quality standards of the bull bars we manufacture.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of occupational health and safety requirements across the production facility. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among the production team.
• Team Management & Development:
Direct staff activities, monitor their performance, and provide guidance and training to improve skills and productivity. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment to ensure that production goals are achieved efficiently.

Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in a senior manufacturing role, particularly in a similar industry (engineering, fabrication, or custom manufacturing).
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machinery, welding techniques, and quality control procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing production teams and achieving production targets.
• Ability to plan, organize, and control manufacturing processes, resources, and costs to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Experience with managing operational maintenance schedules, plant equipment acquisition, and process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to inform and report to senior management on production matters.
• A thorough understanding of safety and quality standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in production practices.
• Minimum Bachelors Qualification with at least one year of Experience.
