The Conference and Events Planning Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of conferences and events. This role involves managing various logistical elements, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of each event.

Main responsibilities include:

• Organisation of secured conference & events business, from point of event confirmation through to post event follow up
• Work in conjunction with the Conference & Events Planning Manager to support, guide and train colleagues within the team
• Develop and manage event timelines, schedules, and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on time
• Assist in post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and preparing reports to assess event success and areas for improvement
• Develop successful professional relationships with clients and maintain effective and timely communication 
• Preparation of Event Planning documents as required – including Request for Information, Event Orders, Invoices & Floorplans
• Ensure progress deposits and final accounts are invoiced and payments received in a timely manner, complete billing and post charges for each event
• Coordinate between Conference & Events and operational departments to ensure preparations for conferences have been made
• Coordination and Hosting of site inspections, pre-conference meetings and post conference reviews with clients

The Position:

We are currently seeking an experianced Service Manager to join our team in Perth North.  In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and profitability of Workforce Australia contracts within the relevant Employment Service Areas. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will oversee a team of Workforce Australia consultants within your designated area, as well as all relevant KPI measures.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensure team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations are consistently met and exceeded.
• Establish and communicate clear direction for the effective operations of all locations / Regions, set objectives and priorities, promote effective teamwork and innovative solutions.
• Develop the capacity of your team to perform and contribute by providing leadership, supervision, coaching/mentoring, feedback and opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods.
• Be accountable and transparent to the Regional Manager with respect to business risk, governance, contractual and financial performance.
• Ensure placement rates are achieved across all locations / Regions in line with approved Workforce Australia budget.
• Liaise with local community providers to build relationships to achieve direct registration pathways, and represent atWork at public forums and on various committees as required.
