The People Business Partner for Hola Central (Head Office) will play a key role in driving and executing the people strategy in alignment with GYG’s business objectives. This role will support their respective management teams to manage the employee lifecycle, foster a culture of engagement, and support initiatives that drive team member performance, career development and retention.  

What you can expect in the role: 

• Contribute to the development and execution of people strategies for the Head Office teams, partnering with the business to drive key people initiatives and performance outcomes.  
• Analyse people data to improve restaurant results and the overall team experience. 
• Facilitate employee engagement surveys and action planning, continuously identifying opportunities to improve team experience. 
• Support managers in performance management processes, ensuring role clarity, regular performance reviews, and coaching for leaders.  
• Provide insights and recommendations on pay reviews, bonus structures, and performance outcomes. 
• Oversee succession planning and career development initiatives for high-potential team members.  
• Proactively address turnover risks, analyse trends, and collaborate with managers to ensure effective recruitment and retention strategies. 
• Manage and resolve employee relations matters in accordance with GYG’s policies and procedures. 
• Educate and support managers on employment legislation, workplace compliance, and performance management. 
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to execute key people programs, such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, engagement surveys, and reward and recognition programs.

• Previous experience in a Business Partnering role within a fast paced environment 
• Advanced understanding of Australian employment law, award interpretation and disciplinary management 
• Experience running end to end people projects  
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal  
• Coaching skills, comfortable delivering feedback to all different levels in the business

About the team

As a Senior Business Analyst you will work predominantly in the cards space to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate business/user requirements for processes, policies and information systems. You will also translate business needs/end-user requirements into functional specifications that describe what the system, process or product/service must do to fulfil the end-user/business requirements.

What you may be doing:

• Formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.

• Working with internal and external clients to assist with implementation of some or all aspects of the P1C software platform.

• Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

• Influences business partners and service providers regarding priorities, hardware/software selection and/or vendor selection.

• Identifies and documents business strategies, objectives and drivers.

• Analyses and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities.

• Re-engineers processes to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.

• Identifies/documents how applications and systems interact to support business processes.

• Assesses, applies and projects the impact of system changes on users and internal and external clients or stakeholders.

• Uses knowledge of systems and industry requirements to develop or modify complex information systems.

• Tracking tasks to plan and escalating issues with late running task and other schedule impacts in a timely manner to the PM.

• Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness and acceptance tests.

• Verifies through testing that changes made by programmers to one part of the application do not impact other parts.

• Trains internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems or new procedures.

• Conducts one-on-one or classroom training depending upon the size or desire of the audience.

• May mentor, guide, advise and/or check the work of less experienced business systems analysts.

• Considers business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

• Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring:

• Knowledge of financial services industry

• Good understanding of P1C/BASE Global/B2K or any relevant credit card processing technologies

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development

• Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors

• Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills

• Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take

• Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed

• Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
