The federal agency partners with governments and the private sector to provide grant and loan financing for energy, transport, telecommunications, water, and other economic infrastructure. Your new role The federal agency is seeking a dynamic procurement officer who will contribute to a variety of projects while working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders. You will work on projects with strict timelines, managing tenders, planning documentation to support procurement activities, undertaking procurement processes, and quality assurance activities.
Duties and Responsibilities As an APS6 Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing contracts with strategic, critical, important, and commodity-based vendors. Key duties will include:
Provide guidance for program areas to plan new large value projects.
Provide secretariat support for procurements to manage concurrent complex procurement processes.
Provide advice and guidance for program areas delivering contracts and contributions to achieve development and performance outcomes.
Contribute to the sections work on continuous improvement of aid project planning and management policy, systems, tools and processes.
Provision of routine specialist procurement policy advice and customer support/guidance for business areas.

Qualification and Education
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
An understanding of Australian Commonwealth procurement rules, processes, and associated policies.
Sound understanding of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and procurement connected policies.
Experience with procurement systems, financial management systems (preferably SAP)
Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Government (Procurement & Contracts)
Demonstrated previous experience in the management of high-value procurements and/or contracts, preferably in an infrastructure.
