The Team

We're on a mission to double the lifespan of our pets, and we need you to help discover the way as the Associate Product Manager - Research in our Research and Development Team. 

Who is this for? Are you an adept strategist with a background in top-tier management consultancy or high growth start-up, looking to work in the business of science? As an Associate Product Manager - Research at Lyka, you will lead the charge in bridging cutting-edge science with strategic business initiatives to propel pet health and nutrition forward. Your role will be instrumental in navigating our mission towards doubling pets' lifespans through innovative nutritional solutions and sustainable practices. 

What you will do: 

Research strategy

Aid in developing our research strategy and pipeline to meet business goals, centring on our key thematic priorities: 

1. Safety & benefits demonstration: Demonstrating the safety and efficacy of our products  
2. Improving the general health and happiness of puppers 
3. Improving our products to deliver greater benefits to pets 
4. Developing new products and/or services based on research breakthroughs 

 

• Create research proposals: Craft proposals grounded in solid statistical and scientific principles in line with our business goals. This includes cost modelling and spearheading the studies' execution, while seamlessly collaborating with external stakeholders such as universities, industrial partners, and customers. 
• Manage active studies: Supervise active research projects, ensuring they progress effectively and align with our investigative objectives. 
• Analytical excellence: Engage in the analysis and synthesis of research results, transforming raw data into actionable insights and coherent findings. 
• Scholarly support: Assist in drafting papers that elucidate research outcomes and white papers that reinforce our perspectives and beliefs. 
• Grant applications: Identify, apply for, and win grants to support our research initiatives. 
• Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with key stakeholders: Dr. Matt, our co-founding vet to ensure that research initiatives align with product development; Data & Analytics to leverage insights and analyse studies; Customer Care for participant recruitment; and Marketing and Partnerships to showcase studies insight which demonstrate Lyka's value. 
• Research synthesis: Keep a keen eye on the latest advancements and studies outside of Lyka. Distil and integrate these findings into tangible insights, aiding in product development and work to underscore the value of a whole food diet in canine health and nutrition.

Who you are: 

• Experienced: You have 2-3 years experience in a top-tier management consultancy, high growth start-up or similar.

About the opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform due diligence of vetted aged care providers:
  • Manage and maintain the process for conducting due diligence of providers that Care & Living with Mercer will recommend to customers, including updating the due diligence spreadsheet and input fields as required
  • Manage and maintain the database of vetted providers and their associated status (recommend, do not recommend, on hold)
  • Work in partnership with the Care Consultant team to initiate provider due diligence when required for customers and update provider due diligence records when Care Consultants have new information, based on interaction with providers
  • Build relationships with providers’ contacts to build and develop the knowledge, brand and trust of Care & Living with Mercer with these contacts
• Information library: Maintain correct and up-to-date content of the Information Library with changes provided by DCM Media, as well as any changes requested by the Product & Operations Leader
• Customer Plan actions: Maintain the content of the Plan actions and related information based on changes requested by the Care Consultant Leader and Product & Operations Leader
• Periodic reporting: Collect required reporting data from Care Consultants and report in format required for other functions within Care & Living with Mercer, such as Client Growth Leader and Marketing Manager
• Periodically support completion of customer Plan reviews with Care Consultant team members
• Stay abreast on industry news and developments that may impact Care & Living with Mercer’s services

• Postgraduate qualification in Audiology, eligible for full membership of Audiology Australia;

• Level B Masters or equivalent (or working towards a PhD), Level C PhD in a relevant field, Level D PhD in a relevant field

The Role

The Missing Link Security Operations Centre provides 24x7 Managed Detection & Response (MDR) support to our clients across a variety of sectors. Day-to-day you will be responsible for the monitoring and triaging of alerts from market-leading MDR technologies, collaborating with our SOC Engineers, Red Team and our clients to develop, test and tune use cases through Purple Teaming exercises.

You will also be proactively supporting our clients and the Senior Security Analysts in responding to security incidents, through log and malware analysis, OSINT and researching the latest zero-day vulnerabilities.
