About the role:
Lead engaging, safe, and effective aqua and floor fitness classes tailored to the needs and abilities of seniors: group and one-to-one sessions
Design and implement fitness routines that promote mobility, balance, flexibility, and overall health
Provide clear instructions, demonstrate proper techniques, and modify exercises to suit individual needs
Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for participants
Monitor participants' progress and ensure their safety at all times
Collaborate with other staff to support the overall well-being of clients
Maintain accurate records of client progress
A bit about you:
Previous experience working in fitness, especially with seniors or in an aged care setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage our senior and veteran communities
Knowledge of water safety and aquatic exercise benefits for older adults
Patience, empathy, and a friendly attitude
Certificate III or IV in Fitness - essential
Aqua Instructor qualifications/certification - desirable
Registration with Fitness Australia
Current Fitness Liability Insurance
Current First Aid and CPR certification

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
