We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to join our finance team. This role provides flexibility within the Finance Department by supporting various financial functions, including but not limited to, processing credit applications, invoicing, debt collection, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, general cashiering duties and payroll duties.

As an integral member of our team, the Finance Officer will ensure accurate financial transactions and timely reporting to support the hotel’s operations.

Keys duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assisting with weekly payroll processes, from processing, reviewing and submitting for payment, to management and statutory reporting.
• Supporting the month-end closing process by preparing account reconciliations and assisting with journal entries.

• Helping manage daily cash receipts, including reconciling cash, cheques, and foreign currency transactions.

Minor Hotels is seeking a Performance Marketing Executive to join our team in a newly created role, based in the Brisbane CBD and commencing in February 2025.

Reporting to the Digital & e-Commerce Marketing Manager, you will drive digital campaign planning, execution, and optimisation while leading customer acquisition strategies across Australia and New Zealand. Your efforts will contribute directly to revenue growth and the success of our brands.

With a strategic emphasis on multiple market segments, including Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE), this role will see you canvassing the local footprints of Minor properties to uncover untapped potential and create high-value partnerships.

In this B2B-focused role, you’ll collaborate closely with properties across the Minor Hotels portfolio to promote and utilise innovative lead-generation platforms such as Oaks Referral and Minor Pro. By engaging with hotel teams nationwide, you’ll not only educate staff on these tools but also inspire them to actively participate in driving new business opportunities. This hands-on, property-driven approach ensures you’ll be at the forefront of connecting local insights with corporate sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy focused on driving new business opportunities within the immediate vicinity of each property, ensuring active engagement and accountability from property teams.
• Identify, qualify, and cultivate new sales opportunities in the immediate area surrounding each property, collaborating closely with property representatives to drive results.
• Proactively engage potential clients through targeted outreach and secure site inspections and appointments to explore business opportunities.
• Promptly respond to Oaks Referral leads, ensuring thorough qualification to maximise conversion potential.
• Increase new business opportunities across multiple direct corporate market segments including MICE
• Undertake telemarketing, sales and marketing duties, public relations, as and when required, and maintain an active database
• Working clearly and effectively with the Director of Field Sales, General Manager’s and Hotel Managers to identify and drive revenue opportunities into their allocated clusters / properties  
• Maintain awareness of market rates for serviced apartments, specifically local competitor rates, and update Director of Field Sales as appropriate.

The Opportunity

The Senior Marketing Executive will support and oversee the planning, development, execution and ongoing management of marketing campaigns for our luxury resort and lodge. This role will manage all creative applications for the brand, website and social media content, hotel collateral and guest materials, brochure content and pre-departure / post-travel communications. This role will work closely with the Journey Beyond Marketing & Communications team on brand positioning and management, new customer acquisition, repeat loyalty initiatives and commercial results contributing to overall business performance.

This role will include:

• Assisting in the development and management of annual marketing plans and budgets
• Work closely with the Group Marketing Manager and wider Marketing and Communications team to develop, implement and execute marketing campaigns across all media channels and platforms (print, native advertising, digital, search, social, radio and OOH)
• Management of campaign media including bookings and material deadlines
• Identifying campaign effectiveness and making recommendations
• Defined plans across key revenue segments for the hotel including; accommodation, restaurant bookings, conferences, events and weddings
• Contribute analysis and insights to monthly marketing reports, marketing plans and post-campaign reports
• Contribute to briefs, production and on-shoot management of all asset capture, e.g. video and still shoots
• Work collaboratively with the in-house design team to ensure campaign creative and all branded collateral is created and executed in adherence to brand guidelines
• Ensure website content is kept up to date and aligned with campaign communication and initiatives, in conjunction with the Digital Performance Manager
• Support the development of a social media strategy, managing the social media calendar, content publishing, ongoing community engagement and management
