The Hotels Finance team are responsible for the Finance and Strategic leadership of a highly competitive 350+ Hotels business. To be successful, the team focuses on partnering with the business to drive optimal performance whilst maintaining an objective viewpoint and strong financial control framework.

The Finance Analyst will partner with the Hotels Loyalty team to drive the business strategy that deliver the first wave of business reporting and customer insights from the brand new loyalty app, pub +. You'll work with multiple stakeholders, providing commercial support and guidance through your strong modelling and analytical skills.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Prepare and submit the annual budget and monthly forecast process.
• Produce and distribute weekly and monthly performance reporting, working closely with key stakeholders to identify meaningful customer insights from data sourced via our new loyalty app.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reporting and commentary is effective and insightful for decision making and supports trade planning and marketing strategies. 
• Ownership of month-end process and reporting against budget and forecast, identifying drivers of variances and key opportunities and risks.
• Contributing to regular business performance reviews, helping to identify and resolve poor performance issues and solutions / action plans to address them. 
• Lead post campaign analysis providing stakeholders with insights on performance and commercial recommendations.
• Assisting with the continued growth strategy of pub+ by providing financial analysis as well as supporting the preparation of business cases for any additional funding requests (including capital). 
• Support business improvement initiatives identified by the leadership team.
• Work across brands and functions, where relevant, to implement best practices and consistent ways of working.

Reporting to the GM Finance, the Commercial Finance Manager will partner with the NRMA Parks & Resorts leadership team to provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic and operational decision making, and drive opportunities for commercial growth and operational effectiveness.  You will have primary responsibility for all aspects of the planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting cycle.  You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial models for evaluation of investment opportunities and resource allocation, and the management and development of the business’s KPI infrastructure to facilitate performance monitoring against plans and strategic objectives.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Lead, develop and inspire your team, to create a high performing, engaged and customer-centric culture
• Lead and develop the divisions’s annual budgets and rolling forecasts
• Produce high quality management reports, including variance analysis and insightful commentary, to support decision making
• Monitor financial performance against budget, forecast, and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimisation
• Drive process improvements and enhancements to streamline financial planning and analysis processes, increase efficiency, and ensure data accuracy
• Supporting the development of long-term organizational strategy and business plans, and provide recommendations and analysis to maximise ROCE
• Prepare detailed financial models and business cases to evaluate investment opportunities and resource allocation, including acquisitions, divestments, and capital expenditure
• Assessing, monitoring and ongoing reporting on projects including but not limited to master planning, capital works planning, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions
• Provide business partner support to Senior Leadership team for strategic decision making, including financial guidance, scenario analysis and recommendations as required.

What you will bring:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a commercial environment, of which some time has been spent in strategic business partnering Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce or Accounting
• Strong commercial and business acumen
• Extensive knowledge of BI, and ERP Accounting Systems. Netsuite and TM1 preferred
• Relevant experience in an accommodation and hospitality businesses
• Experience in leading and managing high performing teams
• Strategic stakeholder engagement
• The ability to develop strong relationships with operational and corporate teams
• Experienced in working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders. 
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
