Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Estimator to support our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring that all bids reflect our commitment to quality and competitiveness. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers and engineering teams.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role within engineering or construction.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

About the Civil Engineering Intern Role:

We are looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Highways Team. The team delivers a range of different projects working with funding agencies, national and local governments, highways authorities and private organisations.

As an intern you will be exposed to projects at different stages from initial concept through to construction and operation, fulfilling diverse design, project management, stakeholder engagement, business innovation as well as technical and site assurance roles.  Every project faces unique challenges, and we take pride in developing inspired, sustainable solutions for our clients. Our collaborative and integrated approach allows us to create, rehabilitate and maintain many of the world’s iconic roadways.

AECOM’s highway and roads experience includes:

• Highways design and construction services including Geometrics, barriers, accessibility, shared use facilities.
• Emergency roadway fast-track design
• Feasibility and corridor studies
• Pavement design and analysis
• Drainage design and stormwater management.
