We create the insurance experience our customers deserve, not the one they expect. The team specialises in Angular and Python (Django), and uses the latest AWS tools to support development.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for building beautiful, accessible, mobile-first web applications in Angular. Working closely with your fellow engineers, product managers and designers – you will create seamless and delightful experiences for our customers/partners. Together, you will drive business value each step of the way. In this role, you will:

• Design and build efficient, scalable, and reusable frontend software solutions meeting time and technical constraints.
• Review code and technical designs from your teammates, paying attention to patterns and practices of the team.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap, documentation quality, and platform health of your squad, inline with Open’s technology strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Data teams to build and deploy products and improvements.
• Share experience and knowledge openly with the team.
• Ensure the systems built have the appropriate level of logging and monitoring.
• Keep abreast of technology changes.
• Keep security and privacy front of mind throughout the SDLC.

What you’ll bring

• Strong experience as a Software Engineer in Angular and Typescript.
• Good experience in CI/CD, and Git+ workflows to support code review and release of software.
• Practitioner of SOLID principles, and can coach their adoption through code reviews.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Experience with Unit testing, Integration testing & E2E testing.
• A Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, but not necessary.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a L2 Service Desk & Onsite Engineer to join our busy Service Centre Team in Sydney. 

The role will be based in Alexandria and will be predominately L2 helpdesk/phone based work with occasional travel between customer sites which are both located within Metro and regional NSW as and when required. 

The successful candidates will have previous MSP experience and provide helpdesk support to ensure the smooth operation of IT services for our customers.

2+ years of experience working within a Service Desk or Field Services role.  

Basic understanding of IT Infrastructure with some experience including networking technologies such as routers and switches (switching, routing, VLAN, WLAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Radius, VPN).  

2+ years Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and group policy experience  

2+ years experience working with a ticket management system.  

Qualifications

A valid Driver's Licence and your own transport

IT degree or Diploma
