We are currently on the hunt for a Junior to Mid-Weight Digital Designer who can craft pixel-perfect, visually stunning creative output for some of Australia’s biggest brands across various digital campaigns, CRM, social, to everything digital in between.

The transformation you will experience

As the Digital Designer, you will have the platform to flex your creativity and skills, designing across a variety of project and mediums. You will be involved in creative briefs from end-to-end, from concept through to final output. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an incredibly talented team and make your mark on some of Australia’s most exciting and iconic brands.

Your scope will include:

• Working across multiple brands, platforms, and mediums
• Crafting designs for eDMs, websites, social media assets, presentations, motion/video assets, and animations, etc.
• Building and maintaining branding systems in design software
• Working across creative briefs from concept through to final output, connecting in with the design team to offer inspiration in craft and process

What type of person will be successful in this role?

• A junior to mid weight Digital Designer with 1-3 years’ experience, ideally in an agency environment
• Someone who has a strong visual eye for beautiful, well-crafted creative outputs
• Fluency in tools including Figma and the Adobe suite
• The ability to understand and interpret creative briefs to take from concept through to final output
• Understands different brands and how visual communications creates impact on audiences
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and can prioritise and focus on multiple tasks 
• Can proactively identify new and creative approaches to elevate the quality of work produced for our clients
• The ability to use your deep understanding of the full Adobe suite and any emerging technologies to produce visually outstanding designs
• Can communicate work and explain the rationale around a certain approach to your design work

About the Role (your why) 

Datacom is a leading provider of technology services for organisations in Australia and New Zealand, generating $2 billion in annual revenue. Over the past two decades, the company has made significant investments in the development and expansion of SaaS products, catering to customer and community engagement, employee management, and operational oversight through an ERP. Notable brands under Datacom's portfolio include Datapay and Smartly in the payroll and HR space, as well as Datascape, a modern, cloud-based ERP software suite designed specifically for the unique needs of local government in Australia and New Zealand. 
 
Datascape equips councils with the tools to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and elevate service delivery. Comprising a suite of ERP modules and standalone digital enablement tools, Datascape can be seamlessly integrated within a council's digital ecosystem, providing a flexible and tailored solution. 
 
The Datascape Director will oversee a team of 200 software and local government professionals, driving growth in customer base and revenue in alignment with long-term plans. This role encompasses product management and development, professional services, customer success, sales, and support. 
 
The company boasts a robust foundation, including market traction, strong customer advocacy, and well-established business systems and processes. This presents a unique opportunity for a candidate with SaaS expertise and an entrepreneurial mindset to steer the business towards to $50 million and beyond. The right candidate will have the opportunity to support the development and expansion of Datascape in the ANZ market with unlimited potential. 
 

What you’ll bring 

• Broad and deep understanding of software products, platform and software technology, software development, and operations.  
• Demonstrated success in strategy development and implementation and meeting objectives around growth in revenue and returns 
• Strength in financial management, with a clear understanding of the relationship between capital invested and future cash flows both from recurring software fees and project services. And ability to form and manage multi-year budgets. 
• Ability to form productive relationships and influence key prospects and customers 
• Experience in the use of research and data to inform product planning and the prioritisation of development 
• Experience driving customer acquisition through GTM strategy spanning product, marketing and sales 
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives. 
• Experience scaling a product business beyond $50M annual revenue 
• An appreciation of the power of ecosystems and experience establishing or participating in an ecosystem or network of partnerships 
• 15+ years of General Management / Operational management experience. 
• Experience in executive leadership and managing and mentoring people and teams. 
• Strong general business acumen. 
• Ability to work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of business trends.

• Managing the relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts. 
• Maintaining awareness and knowledge of market/industry development and providing suitable interpretation to leaders and teams within the organisation.
