INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Service team at our Kalgoorlie Pump Service Centre. You will be responsible for workshop duties which includes on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, ensuring our operations and workshop repairs can continue efficiently with our increase in work.
In this position, you will report to the Operations Manager.
This new position is located in Kalgoorlie and would suit a local resident. Domestic relocation assistance may be provided for the right person.
TEAM YOU BELONG TO
You will join an experienced and dedicated team of Service technicians who strive to ensure operations and workshop repairs are completed on time and to a high standard. Our team is motivated and keen to succeed.
We work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Repairing and refurbishing used pumps as well as assembling new pumps in the Kalgoorlie service facility, in accordance with OEM procedures.
Carry out hands on service work such as adjustments, installation, commissioning and operation of pumps on and off customer sites.
Internal and external report writing at completion of every field service job.
Conduct and/or assist with investigations of customer failures regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivered conditions of products.
Contributions to clients with technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failures.
Ability to be able to solve practical on the job problems. Providing solutions to customers and mechanical crews.
Promote company repair & service capabilities and obtain ongoing works.
Promote the sales and usage of MO wear and spare parts.
Identify sales opportunities for pumps and hydrocyclones.
WHO ARE YOU
Experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps.
Mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years’ experience. Recognised in Australia.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Hold a current motor vehicle license and be able to pass random medical and drug tests.
Physically fit.
Ability to travel with short notice.
Ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required.
DESIRABLE
Current Forklift Ticket.
