Our Stewarding Supervisor is required to:

• Supervise and coordinate activities in the Stewarding Department to ensure all Food and Beverage Outlets and the Kitchen are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment.

We have great opportunity for a National Safety Manager – Parks and Resorts to join the NRMA Group Safety Team to lead strategic and operational safety activities across the NRMA Parks and Resorts portfolio.  This position will provide expert guidance across to support parks and resorts to manage adherence to our ISO certified safety management system ensuring we provide best practice solutions to keep our employees, members and guests safe.

This is a leadership role with the opportunity to shape and promote a holistic safety culture, manage risk controls and assurance programs and deliver programs and education to promote mentally healthy workplaces

A key deliverable includes the development, implementation and continuous improvement of procedures and systems to ensure compliance and best practice and based off the NRMA Group Safety Management System. The role will also undertake various project work such as the preparation of reports and submissions including tenders, planning approvals, technical reviews, external reporting and other corporate reports prepared on behalf of NRMA Parks and Resorts

What You'll Bring

• Minimum of 5 years' WHS, Compliance and Risk Management desirable experience
• Experience in the holiday park or hospitality industry desirable but not essential
• Experience in managing critical risks in relation to employee and customer safety
• Experience in developing and implementing Safety management systems
• Application and knowledge of relevant WSH legislation, regulations, codes of practice & standards, risk management and compliance, particularly in relation to caravan parks
• Interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, operational plans and contracts Experience in conducting workplace audits and risk management
• Skilled in building stakeholder engagement and fostering relationships with operational teams and Senior Leaders
• Highly developed analytical and written communication skills and ability to write technical reports and corporate submissions at an executive level
• Experience in developing & conducting training and induction as well as the training and motivating managers to achieve their contractual obligations in relation to WHSE and compliance
• Must be able to travel frequently both locally and interstate
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Sound organisation skills with the ability to plan and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
• High level problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to prepare complex technical advice and recommendations

The Role

Reporting to the Head of HSE, the Health and Safety Manager - Development and Projects is responsible for managing workplace health and safety across the business with a focus on development activities and key improvement projects.

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Development team and corporate functions including advising on WHS risk management, WHS training, injury management and participating in and monitoring WHS inspections and observations.

This role will involve travel to office locations and sites to engage and liaise with broader Squadron Energy (SQE) teams and relevant stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures and improvement initiatives to ensure risk is effectively managed and compliance with WHS legislation achieved.
• Lead the continued development, implementation, promotion and review of SQE’s WHS Management System.
• Participate in and conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead and participate in WHS training programs to ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrences.
• Collate and report monthly on WHS incident data for SQE and identify trends.

About you

You will have:

• Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Mental Health First Aider, Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator.
• Demonstrated experience in health and safety roles, preferably in a business support and corporate setting.
• Experience in applying WHS legislation, regulations, Codes of Practice for effective management of business risks.
• Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently to organize and prioritize workload.
• Work efficiently and effectively to deadlines and respond to multiple and diverse stakeholders.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• A current Australian driver’s licence
