We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stone Masonry and Tiling Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in analyzing project requirements, evaluating costs, and preparing accurate estimates for stone masonry and tiling projects. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our construction projects by ensuring accurate cost projections, efficient material allocation, and effective resource planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stone masonry and tiling, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and other relevant documents to assess project requirements for stone masonry and tiling work.
Analyze project scope and identify all necessary materials, equipment, and labor resources needed to complete the project.
Prepare accurate cost estimates by considering factors such as labor costs, material costs, equipment rentals, subcontractor expenses, and overheads.
Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required for the project.
Conduct site visits and evaluations to assess existing conditions, potential challenges, and any additional requirements that may impact the cost estimate.
Work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and specifications.
Prepare detailed and comprehensive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, project timelines, and any special conditions or considerations.
Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have and providing clarifications when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of all estimates, correspondence, and project-related documents.
Keep abreast of industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials and technologies that may impact the cost estimation process.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Estimating or minimum of 2 years of experience of Estimating
Proven track record in estimating stone masonry and tiling projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
In-depth knowledge of construction cost estimation methods, including quantity take-offs, labor analysis, and material pricing.
Proficient in using industry-standard estimation software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Pay: $73,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
