S-rack Australia Pty Ltd S-Rack Australia is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role in the conceptualization, development, and enhancement of our solar mounting systems. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for creating robust and efficient designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, including AUS/NZ and Eurocode, and contributing to the success of our business. Key responsibilities of the role will include: Conceptualization and design development Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualise and develop innovative solar mounting system designs that meet project requirements Utilise your creativity and technical expertise to contribute to the design development process. Designing and calculating Solar Carport and Ground Mount Projects Structural review and optimisation Work alongside third-party structural engineers to ensure the integrity, safety, and efficiency of solar mounting system designs Collaborate with the Technical Lead Engineer to optimise designs for cost-effectiveness, and the Project Manager to ensure mounting systems are suitably designed according to site conditions and contractor installation methodologies Documentation and technical communication Prepare detailed design documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including drawings, layouts and technical reports. Effectively communicate design concepts and technical details to team members, contractors, and clients. Collaboration and feedback integration Work closely with project engineers, contractors, and clients to incorporate feedback into the design process. Act as a key technical resource, providing expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle. Research and development Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best solar mounting system design practices by attending industry events such as trade fairs. Liaising with our suppliers to establish design and production efficiencies that enhance the performance and suitability of our solar mounting systems.
