Who is the TDO?

The Technical Duty Officer team has a mission to support and protect all of ServiceNow’s public services. This role is unique in the tech industry and allows the TDOs access and engagement with teams across ServiceNow.

We leverage our broad technical experience to keep critical systems running through any event. TDOs execute fixes during Internet outages, hardware failures, configuration mishaps, and natural disasters.

We have a mandate to own these problems and see them through to resolution. Unlike traditional operations roles, we have the sole authority to make any necessary changes to fix issues and bring services back online.

The TDO is the last stop in escalation and always resolves the problem. Our organisation hires subject matter experts in CloudOps, Development, Systems Engineering, and Networking. We provide leadership to a strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. We attack problems from fine grained Linux kernel configurations to large scale capacity constraints.  The TDO provides solutions to ServiceNow’s planet-scale challenges.

What you get to do in this role

• Leverage your extensive system, network, and database skills to provide technical leadership for a team of on-site engineers who are responsible for the availability and performance of ServiceNow's cloud platform.
• Coordinate all recovery efforts and Lead as the crisis manager during all major outages to provide rapid relief and resolution to any issue that could be impacting the operational environment.
• Develop new solutions and build requirements for new procedures and automation and verify that these new services meet our needs before they are released to the production environment.
• Drive organisation-wide change (global) by participating in post-incident reviews, approving new architectural designs, and establishing strong relationships by working with many cross-functional teams.
• Make operations more effective by continually training and mentoring the team on all aspects of the operational environment.

About the Job

Contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Fund’s investment activities by providing support and managing key activities such as unit pricing, day to day operational matters, projects, regulatory reporting obligations, custody relationship and custody related matters.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Daily responsibility for operational matters including creating and managing instructions to Rest’s custodian and investment managers.
• Translate business strategy changes into operational model adjustments, processes or controls in order to maintain a robust service model.
• Support the management of the daily unit pricing process.
• Solution, implement and oversight of internal operational process changes to maintain a robust unit pricing oversight model.
• Innovate with problem-solving skills in order to maximise member outcomes.
• Contribute to building relationships with key service providers and participating in service reviews so that Rest can continue to improve the quality of services received from its strategic partners.
• Contribute, build relationships and support Investment Group initiatives and goals as related to Investment Operations.
• Contribute to and/or manage the delivery of projects to ensure the project objective is met within its specified timeframe, budget and to acceptable quality standards.
• Support the daily cashflows of the Fund including instructing related cashflow activities.
• Support the class action process for when required to ensure Rest is actively seeking the best financial outcomes for its members.
• Manage key data reconciliations and reporting outputs related to the support of Investment Operations’ regulatory reporting requirements to the ASX, ASIC, and APRA. This involves liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, maintaining appropriate controls and ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant industry reporting standards.

As the Executive Assistant to the Chief Member Officer, you are responsible for supporting the CMO, and for day-to-day administrative support to the Member team. Your role will contribute to the development of the member experience and representing the brand of the Member team positively throughout Rest.  

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional assistance to the Chief Member Officer and their Leadership team. Performing various complex administrative support functions, including but not limited to, analytical and specialised administrative duties to ensure efficient office operations, email and diary management.
• Perform advanced word processing to include complex presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and graphs; transcribes information of a technical, confidential and or sensitive nature.
• Screen mail and callers, respond to and route inquiries to appropriate staff as necessary; determine importance and priority of various issues and determine what major issues should be brought to the attention of the Chief Member Officer.
• Research, compile, summarise, and analyse information to formulate correspondence and respond to various inquiries from internal and external sources.
• Working in conjunction with the Member Leadership team and Member Business Management team to ensure the smooth running of the Member function.
• Manage the organisation of critical Member Forums and meetings including scheduling and invitations, booking rooms, setting up agendas, minute taking, organising catering and distribution of meeting documentation and minutes in conjunction with the Member Business Management team.
• Circulation of reminders of outstanding action items, project reports and documentation to the relevant parties and individuals in a timely manner allowing for adherence to deadlines in conjunction with the Member Business Management team.
• Maintains all team documentation and information that may be confidential, sensitive and or critical along with project or team artefact documentation and project or team financial reporting into the document management system.
• Assists the Chief Member Officer in preparation and timely submission of reports and presentations to Rest Committees and Board and other Senior Executives of Rest.
• Actively promote and ensure clear communication within the team and facilitate communications across Rest.
• Complete expense reporting, invoice processing and track budget expenditures for all the team.
• Participate in a culture of cooperation, initiative, and responsibility throughout Rest to maintain a safe and healthy workplace and meeting the requirements of Rest’s WHS policies and Management System.
