Are you an ICU or HDU trained Registered Nurse looking for your next challenge? Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurse's to join our ICU team, we have a variety of roles available with work on offer across Fulltime, Part-time and Casual basis. About us Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital. We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit. We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge. As a Registered Nurse - ICU, your responsibilities will include:
Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred patient care
Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope's polices and processes
Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes
Essential Criteria:
Current Registration with AHPRA & Working rights in Australia
3+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute ICU, or HDU setting
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works well independently and within a team
Post Graduate Certificate in ICU, HDU, or CCU (or working towards) is desirable

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024, a salary ranging from $35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
