Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation and Cooking:
o Prepare and cook a variety of meals to a high standard in accordance with menu specifications.
o Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation for all dishes.
o Develop and implement daily and weekly menus, accommodating dietary requirements where applicable.
2. Kitchen Management:
o Oversee kitchen staff and assist with training, development, and supervision of junior kitchen team members.
o Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, in compliance with Australian health and safety regulations.
o Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and operating efficiently at all times.
o Manage stock levels, monitor inventory, and place orders for ingredients as needed.
3. Quality Control:
o Monitor the quality of food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to customer expectations.
o Ensure that food safety and health regulations are strictly followed, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) protocols.
4. Customer Service:
o Provide a high level of customer service through the consistent delivery of quality meals and timely service.
o Respond to customer inquiries and special requests regarding dietary preferences or restrictions.
5. Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient communication and smooth service delivery.
o Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for menu innovation, cost control, and improvements in service delivery.
6. Administrative Duties:
o Assist in the preparation of rosters and schedules for kitchen staff.
o Maintain records of food orders, inventory, and stock levels, ensuring cost-effectiveness and minimal waste.



REQUIRED SKILLS
• Proven experience as a Chef, with a minimum of 3 years in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to manage a busy kitchen, multitask, and lead a team effectively.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

The Position
As the company takes care of various Phalaenopsis and seasonal supplier of Cymbidiums, Oncidiums and Dendrobiums, we employ the relevant staff, especially personnel with knowledge of the same who can provide a staple and reliable nurturing services for our specialist products. This includes supporting staff like Nursery Person who care for our products in keeping them watered, maintained that are fit for our wholesale. As a Nursery Person, one is required to perform qualitative and holistic services including but not limited to ones identified below.


Duties & Responsibilities:
• Setup seeding needs on single and batch pots, adding specific soil, hydrogenated water or other specifications like bulb size, heat level, and wire cuttings for sprouting direction
• Graft growing trees and shrubs as per required fittings and size requested or mandated by clients or management
• Transfer pots to greenhouse or specific bulb setting to stimulate growth and sprout
• Water plants using manual tools and set interval of automated watering equipment within standard or specified periods
• Document single and batch samples of seedlings, soils and procedures done for accounting, accountability and research purposes
• Organised plants / seedlings / pots in proper order and as per procedural layout, including packaging them properly for safe transport
• Maintain a high level of customer service
• Making rounds and keeping all stations maintained between deliveries
• Willingness to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to improve knowledge within horticulture
• Operating potting machine & mulch machine
• Supervise trainees and other casuals.


The Skills & Qualifications & Languages
At least two years’ work experience working as a Nursery Person (Orchid Specialist) in a wholesale production setting.
Working with Phalaenopsis and Cymbidiums, Oncidiums and Dendrobiums essential.
Languages: English and Chinese (for overseas Taiwan supplier)
