We are seeking a Marketing Manager for a 12-month max-term contract to deliver upon the brand and acquisition strategy for The Sydney Morning Herald & The Age. You will develop and deliver high-impact ATL and TTL campaigns that that strengthen brand affinity, boost engagement, and grow subscription revenue.

In this role you will develop and execute consumer marketing strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels, leveraging consumer insights and media planning. As a strategic, data-driven, and detail-oriented marketer, you will manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Collaboration with internal and external creative, digital, and media agencies will be key to delivering compelling, impactful campaigns.

Day-to-day you will:

• Assist the Marketing Lead  in delivering the Metro Brand & Acquisition strategy, through the shaping and delivery of insight-fueled strategic and tactical programs of work.
• Lead campaign strategy, development and execution across all media channels, ensuring alignment with objectives and data-driven results.
• Develop a growth-focused media strategy, optimizing spend across traditional and digital and traditional channels to maximize audience engagement.
• Ensure consistent brand application across the customer journey, providing guidance and maintaining clear brand guidelines.
• Work closely with Tier 1 creative, media, and research agencies to deliver high-quality campaigns under tight deadlines.
• Report on the performance of campaigns and other initiatives, providing insightful and accurate updates to executives in a timely manner. Highlight potential optimisations and adjustments to ensure campaigns continue to meet objectives and drive success.

The Senior Brand Manager will utilise their strategic mindset and a strong background in product marketing to create and implement marketing strategies to promote Montu’s brands and products. They will lead the brand marketing efforts and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth of our brand portfolio, ensure brand consistency and successfully manage campaigns. 

Strategic Planning:

• Leading the development, implementation and execution of commercial and product marketing strategies and plans to achieve brand growth objectives e.g. market analysis, positioning, segmentation, forecasting, product launches, pricing strategies, development of demand generation campaigns and marketing materials.
• Identify growth opportunities for Montu’s product portfolio.
• Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimise accordingly
• Develop and implement product launch strategies

Brand Identity Development:

• Work with cross functionally to develop new brands including visual identity, brand messaging, style guides, and packaging
• Define and communicate our brand's unique value proposition.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure effective product positioning of existing and new products
• Crafting clear and compelling brand messaging and unique value proposition to ensure competitiveness in market 
• Lead the development of visual narratives that tell the brand's story and engage audiences across different touchpoints.

Campaign Management:

• Develop and end-to-end execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, print, and events, targeting a clinical audience.  
• Monitor sales results and modify product focus/promotional plans accordingly.
• Create and be accountable for a campaign calendar, ensuring timely and successful execution. 
• Stay abreast of industry trends to identify new opportunities.

Marketing Collateral Creation:

• Develop marketing collateral briefs for the creative and content teams such as eDMs, brochures, flyers, banners, presentations, and digital assets.
• Oversee content creation and distribution, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and target audience.
• Ensure brand consistency is maintained across all communications and collateral.
• Oversee our product information on websites (internal and external).

Project Management:

• Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Identify and address any potential roadblocks or challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project stakeholders, ensuring they are well informed of project status and updates. 

Data-Driven Decision Making and Reporting:

• Analyse market data, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to make data-driven decisions.
• Adjust brand strategies based on performance metrics and market dynamics.
• Leverage data analytics to understand the drivers of success and areas for improvement.
• Utilise key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
• Gather feedback from customers/sales teams to inform marketing strategies.

What will you be doing?

• Assist and oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel team
• Supervise and monitor hotel team members with true leadership ability that motivates the entire team.
• Assist in the running of Distrikt cafe and our All-Day Dining including service, food prep and coffee making
• Take initiative to ensure all interactions with our guests are positive and productive.  
• Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's operation in absence of the General Manager/Senior Managers with a high level of customer service provided at all times.
• Actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by guests/customers to reach a win-win situation.
• Ensure there is management support and presence visible on Front Desk and in the lobby during key times throughout the day.  
• Process and assist with check-in and check-out of guests.
• Respond to and coordinate emergency situations.
