What You'll Do:
We are seeking a vibrant and experienced Food & Beverage professional to join the Strahan Village team as a Team Leader, working on a full-time basis.
Our Food & Beverage Team Leaders will support the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for Tasmania’s remote, wild places – someone who is committed to inspiring our guests and creating an unforgettable experience by promoting the very best in Tasmanian produce, beer and wine and love to create a cheeky cocktails or mix the classics. You will also:
- Ensure the Food and Beverage Department represents the core values of NRMA in terms of professionalism, cleanliness and guest experience.
- Work professionally alongside the Chef, Resort Management and Department Heads
- Create and maintain a positive, dynamic working culture that creates moments of exceptional quality.
- Assist to train, or guide Food and Beverage Attendants and ensure service standards are met
- Lead team members in all aspects of the daily operation of the Restaurant, providing the necessary assistance and training where required
- Barista duties as required
- Other duties as may be required from time to time due to operational needs and much more
What You'll Bring:
Ideally, you will have previously held a senior role, or had extensive experience in a Food and Beverage department and you are now ready to move into a role where no one day will ever be the same. Your hands on experience will assist in leading & mentoring the department to success.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food & beverage operations
- Proven food & beverage leadership experience, including the ability to successfully lead, coach and mentor a team
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
- Strong service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce
- A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
- Strong knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine.
- Barista skills
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Ability to maintain control and composure in difficult situations
