The Senior Manager, Financial Crimes Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the financial crimes’ function within Rest. This includes managing a team that is tasked with detecting, investigating, and reporting potential money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other financial crimes.

You will work closely with our Head of Compliance and AML/CTF Officer to implement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Senior Manager, Financial Crimes Operations will also lead the engagement with third parties that support financial crimes processes for Rest ensuring the end-to-end value chain is appropriately managed.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage financial crimes operations team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Design and enhance operational processes and controls to detect and prevent financial crime activities effectively.
• Oversee the monitoring and analysis of transactions for suspicious activities and ensure timely reviews and escalations made to Line 2 as required.
• Oversee the monitoring of politically exposed persons (PEPs) via WorldCheck
• Coordinate with the compliance and risk management teams to align financial crime strategies with overall regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on financial crimes prevention and detection for internal stakeholders.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of systems and procedures to identify potential weaknesses or risks.
• Collaborate with third party vendors to implement advanced transaction monitoring systems and improve existing platforms.
• Stay abreast of new trends in financial crimes and changes in regulations, advising senior leadership on implications and necessary actions.
• Support the General Manager, Strategic Procurement & Workplace with other financial crime improvement initiatives from time to time.
