RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and Draft Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including service agreements with families, employee contracts for teaching and support staff, and lease agreements for childcare facilities and learning spaces.
Facility Lease Management: Arrange and oversee the leasing of properties for Montessori centres, ensuring lease terms meet the centre’s needs and align with childcare and educational regulations.
Compliance with Educational Standards: Ensure that all contracts, especially service agreements with families and leases, comply with Montessori educational standards, relevant childcare legislation, and organizational policies.
Manage Employee Contracts: Draft and maintain employment contracts for educators and administrative staff, ensuring compliance with employment law, internal HR policies, and Montessori teaching principles. Oversee contract renewals and terminations as necessary.
Family Service Agreement Management: Develop, monitor, and manage service agreements with families, ensuring clear deliverables, terms, and expectations for tuition, care services, and Montessori-based learning programs.
Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with parents, teaching staff, property managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure contract terms are clear, fair, and in the best interest of the Montessori centre and its children.
Contract Renewals and Terminations: Manage the renewal, amendment, and termination of contracts, including family service agreements, employment contracts, and lease agreements, ensuring legal and educational compliance.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with service agreements, staff contracts, and facility leases, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
Record Management: Maintain an organized and secure record of all contracts, ensuring easy access for audits, reviews by educational authorities, and compliance checks.
Provide Advice on Contracts: Offer guidance to management on contractual obligations, risks, and best practices related to family agreements, employment, and facility leases to support the Montessori mission.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor or higher qualification in relevant field is required.
2+ years of recent and relevant work experience is required.
Knowledge and Experience in contract management, including reviewing and drafting contracts, is highly desirable.
