The Opportunity

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our high-performing Finance team on a permanent basis. The focus of this role will be dealing with day-to-day bookkeeping, including trust accounting, preparation of accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliations, invoicing, debt collection, and bank account reconciliations. 

The successful candidate will need to have an exemplary phone manner and great email drafting skills to be able to communicate clearly and concisely with a huge variety of internal and external clients. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively determine priorities, work under pressure, and manage a range of different tasks concurrently. 

The Ideal Candidate

Experienced: You will have at least some experience in a general accounting role, ideally in a professional services environment. 

Qualifications: You hold a CIII in Bookkeeping from a reputable institution.

A natural communicator: Able to effectively and clearly communicate with clients both by email and on the phone.

Thrives in fast-paced environments: The ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to respond calmly and professionally when faced with difficult situations.

Diligent: Excellent attention to detail and organisational and time management skills are vital.

Proactive: Able to identify issues or opportunities to make improvements and run with them.

Team player: Willingness to actively contribute and assist other members of the team when needed.

Tech savvy: You will be using our innovative in-house technology as well as market-leading software to process a large variety of transactions. We use Google Sheets on a daily basis so any expertise in that will be highly regarded.

This is a Fulltime Permanent position – Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:30pm)

• Schedule & attend meetings on behalf of Managing Director (When required)
• Assist with organising events from small to large scale
• General administration tasks as required by the team
• Manage the Managing Director email inbox, including sorting, prioritising, and responding to emails as appropriate, ensuring that all communications are handled promptly and professionally
• Organise and maintain the Managing Directors calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Ensure all calendar entries are accurate and conflicts are managed effectively
• Coordinate seamlessly with internal and external stakeholders to arrange meetings, including setting up video calls and conference rooms, and preparing necessary meeting materials
• Provide reminders for important tasks and deadlines to the Managing Director
• Assist in the preparation and editing of business correspondence and presentations
• Handle confidential information with a high level of discretion and integrity
• Record, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings
• Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work
• Manage and maintain office supplies

Our Newcastle team has an exciting opportunity available for an organised, efficient and dedicated Customer Care Executive to join them on a permanent full-time basis.

Your extraordinary skills will be used for the day-to-day phone based management of our business customers. This role reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and will see you utilise your awesome Customer Service experience to enhance customer relationships, nurture the existing portfolio, grow and sustain the business services portfolio as well as exploring sales opportunities through actively promoting our services via inbound and outbound activities.

In this role, you will be required to:

• Conduct outbound calls to existing customers and exceptional customer service
• Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and customers of various solutions the company offers
• Actively identify new business lead opportunities and communicate these via the standard operating procedures to the relevant field sales person
• Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone conversations and networking
• Effective management and resolution of all customer enquiries in a timely manner
• Focus on client retention and protect existing portfolio by identifying opportunities to re-sign and upgrade existing contracts
• Create quality sales leads for the field based sales team
• Liaise with other departments to ensure customer enquiries are resolved in a timely manner
• 1st contact resolution
• Processing enquiries efficiently and pro-actively resolving client issues
• Make outgoing calls to our existing client database to promote our products and services

To be successful, you will need to have the following:

• Prior experience in Sales, Account Management and Customer Service role.
• Highly developed negotiation skills to ensure contractual obligations are met
• Previous working experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
• 2 years excellent customer service/telesales skills
• Demonstrated skills in B2B sales development
• Highly effective time management skills
• Intermediate computer and system skills
• Complaint handling experience
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and work autonomously
• Meeting Deadlines and KPIs' on a daily/monthly basis
• High attention to detail
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Love working in a team environment

The successful candidate must be able to pass a Pre-employment medical as well as background checks.
