BESIX Watpac have an exciting opportunity for a Building Cadet to join our project team in Townsville. The purpose of this role will be to provide assistance in the preparation of contract documents, the tendering process and other general site administration duties.

• Proactively drive company safety, environment and quality policies, practices and procedures in compliance with Management Plans and OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
• Assist with the trade package tendering process including compilation and approval of tender documents and proposed tender list, issue of documents, receipt of tenders, comparison of tenders and submission of tender recommendation for approval.
• Assist with general administration of trade packages following award including progress payments, variations and final accounts.
• Compilation and control of project documents including maintenance of a control register. Ensure prompt issue of documentation to the respective parties.
• Assist with general site duties, office and administration as required.

What will a day in this role look like:

• Working in teams to ensure proper controls on the projects and assisting Project Managers (PM’s) and operational leaders to deliver optimal profit and cash results for AECOM.

The Simulation Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Manager (or delegate) to perform all preventative and corrective maintenance on training devices under support in a safe and effective manner, ensuring maximum successful training events are able to be achieved by the end user. The platform you will be working on is for the CH47 Flight Simulator.

The Opportunity

In this hands-on, business critical role, you will be supporting the maintenance of our machinery, so that we can continue manufacturing our world class products and solutions for our valued customers.

You will be working to complete scheduled maintenance, you will also be required for call outs, after hours/weekend and shutdown hours. Shift will be day shift (6:00am – 2:30pm). What Will You Do?

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this varied role requires you to maintain the building, plant & equipment, fixtures and fittings throughout the Hotel to the required standards.
