The Role

This is an exciting senior role within our Product team, focused on serving our financial services clients in Australia and New Zealand. You will be integral in driving the team forward, being focused on exceeding client expectations in all forms of delivery, identifying and implementing research and operational best practice and mentoring more junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Presenting to clients ensuring presentations exceed expectations with regards to actionability, accuracy and timeliness
• Maintaining a deep understanding of clients’ strategic priorities and demonstrating this understanding in your dealings with clients
• Reviewing and providing feedback on the work of more junior members of the team, ensuring feedback is understood and acted upon, ensuring continual advancement in the quality of team output
• Executing on product or process initiatives that aim to enhance client experience, maximise efficiency and margin
• Identifying and executing upon opportunities to advance our product coverage in response to client needs and market dynamics
• Working closely with Senior Resourcing Manager to ensure resources are utilised effectively and forward planning is undertaken
• Working closely with Sales and Client Success teams in the acquisition of new clients and servicing of existing ones
• Identifying and implementing innovative research approaches and methodologies
• Cascading subject matter expertise through the analyst team and broader business
• Leading training sessions and implementing ongoing internal training programs and knowledge sharing
• Coaching and development of team members ensuring they are engaged and fulfilled in their careers at RFI.

• Experience in a research agency environment or research role.
• Experience working with banks / financial services providers.

• Experience of using data and research to deliver actionable insights.
• Experience managing primary research from the design stage through delivery.
• Experience managing of external panel suppliers.

Qantas Group Property manage a portfolio of over 2 million SQM across approximately 100 locations. The Property Development team plays a key role by providing comprehensive property project management services within the Qantas Group. The team works closely with a broad range of stakeholders and end users to deliver property solutions supporting all facets of the business to meet constantly evolving operational requirements and to assist the organisation in providing a premium Customer experience.

The Property Development Contracts Manager will manage capital works contracts to ensure Qantas' contractual and compliance risks are mitigated and commercial position is optimised. You will provide contract management/administration of suppliers’ performance, contractual and HSE compliance and compile periodical performance reports. You will manage the commercial relationships between Property Development Managers and suppliers, including the relationship with Qantas’ Central Procurement team.

This role will provide assistance to expedite procurement of minor capital works goods & services, to develop a workplace culture of continuous improvement in the areas of contract management and sourcing of goods and services in this field. You will also provide property advice in the interpretation of contract terms and the enforcement of the terms of the contract and issuing notices of direction and support Qantas procurement and Legal processes and procedures throughout the life cycle of the project.

You’ll have –

• 5+ years experience of buildings and infrastructure construction contracting and procurement experience, preferably in the aviation and/or industrial sectors
• Tertiary qualifications in Business Management and/or a property-related field together with experience in the application of Construction Contract Law and construction-related experience is ideal
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as established influencing and business partnering skills
• Strong relationship skills are necessary to build confidence with Property Development, Regional Property and Compliance Managers in order to understand their needs and gain support for value-added commercial propositions
• The ability to make critical decisions and influence cross functional teams is imperative, so too is the ability to deal with ambiguity and have the initiative to provide strong value proposition
• Challenge existing thinking and maintain stakeholder relationships

We are looking for an APAC Payroll Specialist

Compensation: $109,000- $135,000 salary, employee equity plan grant & world class benefits

About the role

You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of employee pay in the APAC region, with a high degree of responsibility and independence. Your responsibilities will encompass payroll processing, compliance with relevant regulations and providing excellent employee support on their queries.

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing of the APAC region (Australia and Japan)
• Validation of payroll input against payroll register and coordination with payroll vendors for required adjustments/corrections.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors on timely payout to employees and statutory payments.
• Handle employee data and updates in our payroll system throughout the lifecycle of each employee
• Perform tasks associated with monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reporting and taxation.
• Assist WGEA reporting and reporting required for employee share schemes
• Review of business expenses for compliance with Company policy and processing of reimbursements
• Serve as the main point of contact for employee pay-related questions 
• Partner with the US Payroll team and Accounting and People Ops teams to ensure alignment on employee data
• Partner with the Stocks team on equity matters including exercises, terminations, etc.
• Partner with the R&D organization and the Accounting team on R&D capitalisation and supporting work for the calculation by third-party advisors of the R&D tax credit

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with payroll processing in the APAC region. Experience with Australia a must.
• Excellent knowledge of payroll and related statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations.
• Excellent quantitative and Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
• Ability to work independently but also socialize issues as they arise
