The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator to join our Springhill Painting and Finishing Department based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
In this business-critical role, you will coordinate and execute routine maintenance work and attend to plant mechanical challenges, with a focus on shutdowns and down-days including contractor management.
Enjoy working a 38-hour week plus regular weekly overtime with a rostered day off once a month.
What Will You Do?
As the Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator, you will:
- supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance
- coordinate downday planning and execution for regular & major maintenance shuts
- coach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel
- participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
- respond to the day-to-day availability and reliability issues
More About You
As an experienced mechanical maintenance coordinator, you will have sound leadership experience, work effectively in cross-functional groups, and thrive in a team environment. You will also have:
- mechanical Trade/Diploma qualifications
- experience in the application of maintenance management systems and processes (SAP)
- demonstrated leadership experience
- experience in a heavy industrial environment
- mechanical maintenance experience combined with project management skills
