About the role:

- Assist in controlled breeding experiments to develop improved livestock strains
- Operate milking plant and equipment in a safe manner, undertake multiple functions including reading and recording instrument information e.g., milk vat temperatures and cow numbers and matching cow ID to calves to produce a quality milk outcome
- Operate a dairy recycling system
- Calf feeding, including tubing colostrum
- Assisting with and/or performing irrigation works
- Inspect livestock to gauge the effectiveness of feed formulae
- Transport, handle and store chemicals; prepare and apply chemicals
- Operate farm and dairy shed-related vehicles, plant and equipment
- Identify and report equipment not operating normally, maintenance of plant and machinery
- Where appropriately qualified, perform maintenance works on sheds, fixtures and fittings, fences and surrounds and install new or replacement equipment or fittings
- Transport stock, feed and equipment, if appropriately licensed
- Maintain records to ensure accurate information for stock and inventory control
- Ensure food safety regulatory requirements are met
- Contribute to and implement Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements
- Operate computer equipment and software packages requiring set-up and basic function operation
- Coordinate the response to emergencies for both occupational health and safety emergencies and animal welfare emergencies
- Participate in enterprise/industry training sessions and workshops as required

- Salary range: from AUD65,000 - 75,000 per annum

What you'll need to succeed


Extensive experience in commercial refrigeration/air conditioning. Trade qualifications in HVAC are highly regarded.


A strong understanding of industry standards, equipment features, and applications.


Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.


Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to exercise sound judgement and diplomacy, with exceptional attention to detail.


Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for all asset portfolio operational, transactional, accounting, and reporting needs in order to meet Group standards.
- Month, quarter, and financial closing processes are within your control, including accruals, journal entries, management reports, monthly
calendars, and deviation analysis.
- Work closely with auditors on audit schedules and yearly statutory financial statements, among other things.
- Perform a review of the external property manager's property management reports, emphasising, addressing, and resolving any concerns
that occur.
- Manage all tax concerns, including BAS and tax reporting with the ATO.
- Preparation of quarterly distribution computations and yearly asset portfolio reconciliations.
- Working knowledge and expertise with inter-company transactions and reconciliations with Head Office is required.
- In compliance with Group Policy, conduct credit reviews of vendors, consultants, and consumers.
- Participation in the budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as cash flow monitoring, are among the other responsibilities.
- Participate in the implementation and improvement process.
- Responsible for other ad hoc finance/accounting responsibilities as needed by the organisation

Qualifications/Experience requirements

- Relevant Degree in accounting with solid working knowledge of local accounting standards.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in accounting functions is required.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel is strongly desirable.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as XERO and MYOB would be desirable.
- Ability to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and vocal.

REMUNERATION
Entry Level 1 Base: $25.40 per hour day shift
Afternoon, and Weekend Rosters paid at higher rates.

ROSTER
Several rosters across a 7 day per week operation, with extra shifts available to pick up, and possible overtime.
Day Shift: 5.00am to 3.30pm (9.5 hours) | 4 on 4 off, and 3 on 3 off.
Afternoon Shift: 4.00pm to 12.20am (7.6 hours) | 5 on 2 off.
